Santa Maria Wrap Kit Review...

A few weeks ago I received a wrap kit from Santa Maria as part of a Bzzagent campaign. We'd had kits like this before as we both really like mexican food but it had been a while so this was such a nice treat and I knew it was something we were going to love. In the kit I received, Plain Tortillas, Salsa, Fajita Seasoning Mix, Heat, Spice and Shake Chips and a BBQ flavouring sachet. There was also a Pepper Grinder which is something we really needed but never think to buy, it will last us ages!

The first thing we did was cook 2 chicken breasts with the fajita seasoning. The seasoning was quite spicy which we both loved and it gave the chicken such a nice flavour. When the chicken was cooked we put it into a bowl and topped it with a bit of grated cheese.

We then prepared the Corn Chips. These need to be warmed up in the microwave. It said on the pack to add them to the microwave for between 15-45 seconds. We did think this was a bit of an odd timescale, we just had to keep checking them every 10 seconds as we didn't want to not do them properly but also didn't want them to be overdone! I think overall they ended up being in the microwave for 30 seconds. When they were warm we added the BBQ flavouring which gave them a really nice, smoky taste. The wraps can be eaten hot or cold, if you want them warm you can just do it in a microwave or a pan. As the chips were in the microwave we used a pan, just warmed them up on each side for a few seconds.

We used some of the pepper on some homemade Sweet Potato Chips which gave them a really nice flavour, we also had some salsa on the side of our wraps which was lovely. This wasn't too spicy which was good because the fajita seasoning definitely was. Overall, we really enjoyed using this kit and would definitely purchase in the future, it was such a lovely meal!

Is this something you would make?
