'Love Tanya' By Tanya Burr...

I am sure most of you know by now that Youtuber/Blogger Tanya Burr has released her first book Love Tanya. I pre-ordered this along with many others as I was really excited to see what it was like though I have to admit after a few days, I put it down and forgot about it.
There are many different chapters, there's a few on beauty, a skincare one, anxiety and also some on her life and journey into blogging and youtube. The chapter I was particularly interested in reading was the anxiety one. As I suffer with it too it was really nice to read about somebody elses experience and see how they dealt with it. It definitely made me think and made me realise how common it is and that it is okay and it does get better! I also really enjoyed the chapter on skincare. I am in a bit of rut with my skincare at the moment and feel like I need a proper routine with some really good products. This chapter told me how to look after my skin, what products are good and other general info about it. I can't name all of the other chapters and what they entail but basically there's a big variety. I also like the baking one but i'm yet to try any!

Something I really liked about this book was that there are parts where you can write yourself. For example in a part where Tanya was talking about when she went travelling, there was a space for you to write places you would love to visit. There are also sections where you can write about what you want to achieve, your favourite foods and plans for the future. I like this because I could look back on it one day and see if I have done all of these things I have written down and achieved everything I wanted to.
Though there are positives to this book, as I mentioned at the beginning, I completely forgot about it and it has been ages since I last looked at it. To be honest now I don't think i'll be reading it again, I think the fact that she has had a ghostwriter for this book and has had help ruins it a little. I understand that when you're writing a book, especially your first one, you may need a little help but when it is basically an autobiographical one I'm not sure why you do? Everyone went mad with the Zoella scandal as she had a ghostwriter, she didn't announce that until her book was already out but I think you can forgive that. When you are just talking about your own life for a lot of it, why do you need somebody elses help? Surely you know it best? I just don't understand. I am planning on getting Fleur De Forces' book. I meant to pre order it but didn't get round to it, what I love about her is that she mentioned in one of her videos that all of the book has been written by herself and she has had no help. She wanted it to be all her own work and I think it is great that she has done it that way, and she was also honest about it.

As I said there are some chapters I really enjoyed and some I would go back and read but overall I would have preferred Fleur's book at the time.

Have you read this book? What did you think?

I didn't know it was ghost written - I'm not interested in any books brought out by youtubers as they seem to be just doing it for the money x

I don't think you should be put off simply because there was a ghost writer, you have to remember these people have never published a book before so it's a bit of a learning process for them as well, although heads up to anyone who could write a book themselves - I know I'd definitely need help piecing together my jumble of ideas.

I do admit, that they should have been more open about the process - after-all readers will want to know. Nonetheless I enjoyed both books, and feel like I'd pick them up again at some point :) just for a little inspiration. x
