Food I Have Been Loving This Week #11

This is the 11th Food I Have Been Loving post and I think it may be my favourite of them all so far. I know I say this most of the time but there is so much delicious food included in this one and I don't know how I'm going to beat it next time! This time there is a new slow cooker gem, a drink I am obsessed with and of course a few treats.
Chicken Casserole - I posted my slow cooker favourites two weeks ago and part of me wishes I'd waited because I had the BEST slow cooker chicken casserole a few weeks ago and again this weekend, and it needs to be in that post. I'll have to plan another one in a few months! I remember having chicken casserole when I was younger but in the 3 and a half years I've lived with George, I don't think I've ever attempted it, maybe once in Leicester. I decided to give it a go in the slow cooker and I can't say how happy I am that I tried it because it was one of the most delicious meals I've ever made. I also made dumplings for the first time ever and not to be big headed but they were incredible. This is definitely going to be a new regular meal for us. So perfect for a sunday afternoon.

Pesto Pasta - I have been having this so much over the last few weeks! Luckily pasta is a free food on Slimming World so I can have as much as I want and pesto is only a few syns. A jar of Asda red pesto lasts for a good few meals and we always have pasta in so it's been my go to lunch recently. I've been loving adding in cooked sausages or bacon though aswell to bulk it out a bit more. I've also sometimes had halloumi on the side because I can't live without it.

Thorntons Chocolate Brownies - I just love the bakery type things Thorntons do, so much so I prefer them to their actual chocolate. They do mini chocolate brownies, caramel shortcake bites, white chocolate shortcake bites, toffee cake bites, and I'm sure there are a few others too. They all taste delicious but I do really like the mini brownies. They just melt in your mouth, so good.

Tango Ice Blasts - We go to the cinema a lot but I very rarely have one of these though and I don't know why because I used to love them! A few weeks ago though I decided to get one and now I think I'm gonna have to have one everytime we go. They are just so refreshing and sweet, I'm actually obsessed. My favourite combination is the pink and yellow as it makes it taste like refresher sweets!

Fajitas - When someone asks me what my favourite meal is I never know how to answer because I just love everything but I'm pretty sure now it's actually fajtas. I want to make them every week! We have them sometimes on a saturday night which is when we usually have something that feels a bit of a treat for tea and they just always taste amazing. We go all out when we have fajitas, I do chicken with pepper and onion, golden rice, refried beans, sour cream, salsa and we also do cheesy nachos. Just the best meal! I made it a few weeks ago and I already feel like it's been too long since then, gonna have to make them again soon.

Echo Falls Wine - I very rarely drink and when I do, I literally have like one glass because alcohol and anxiety do not mix well for me but a few weeks ago I found a can of Echo Falls Peach and Mango Fruit Fusion Wine (classy) for 99p in B&M. I love anything with peach and/or mango and I thought it would be better to try a smaller bottle or can of it before buying a big bottle. It was so nice! Really freshing and the perfect amount for someone like me who does like wine but struggles to get through a full bottle, even in a good few days. They had another fruit fusion flavour too, I think it was a berries one so I would love to try that another time, and I'll definitely be getting the peach and mango one again.

I love doing these posts, another will be up in a few weeks!
