Real Techniques, Maybelline and Primark Haul...

I think its safe to say I got spoilt at Meadowhall a few days ago. We went to celebrate Georges birthday and somehow I ended up leaving with things I needed/wanted! I actually feel a bit bad. I did get some nice things though and to be fair, the beauty products were things I actually needed. We also got some things for the flat but you don't really want to hear me talk about overdoor hooks.

I recently started using my Buffing Brush from the core collection to apply my foundation, I had been using it for my powder but now I am never going back. Post on that coming soon though. Because of this I needed a new powder brush, Real Techniques were on buy one get the second half price so when I picked up the Powder Brush, I also got the Retractable Kabuki Brush. I have never used a Kabuki brush before and I was a bit unsure about buying it but I have started using it to apply my bronzer and it is good so far. I am always impressed with the Real Techniques brushes, I am starting to get a bit of a collection.
Aswell as the brushes I also needed a new concealer and powder. I dropped my powder last week so its in bits and impossible to use. I wanted to try a different brand out this time so I went for Maybelline and so far I have not been disappointed. Their Fit Me Concealer is amazing! I got it in the shade 20, there are 6 different shades available which I think is great because with some brands you only get a few to choose from. When we got in, I put some of this on under my eyes, around my nose and on any blemishes and it covered them so well, so much better than the one I was using. I'll do a full review of this in a few weeks. The powder I got was the Matte Maker in Classic Ivory. I loved this too, it sets my makeup and just feels nice, definitely doesn't feel heavy like some powders.
Have you tried any of these? I'd love to know what you think.

Thats everything for beauty, something I did get which was a bit of an impulse was a new onesie. I do have a cookie monster one which I love but George saw a Winnie The Pooh one in Primark and I loved it so I kind of had to get it. I got it about 4 sizes smaller than I actually am because thats all they had and it fits fine with extra room. It is so cosy, I could wear it all day.
We also went to Coal that day for a meal, as it was to celebrate Georges birthday, he chose where we went. Obviously we had to get a bread board, bread is my favourite thing, I said to George that I love bread more than people sometimes and it is true. For mains, I went for the Cornfed Chicken with Butter potatoes, carrots and cabbage. So good. George had the Chicken Eldorado which had mexican spiced potatoes, lime and fajita seasoning chicken and nachos.
It was such a nice day and a lovely way to celebrate Georges birthday!

I would also recommend the Real Techniques 'Stippling Brush' if you don't have that, I've found that it does a really good job for foundation.
Great post! The Maybelline concealer looks like it does a good job, I am tempted :) Xx
