My 2019 Christmas Wishlist

It's that time of the year again, my Christmas wishlist! I've been waiting and waiting for December to come around and now we're somehow almost halfway through already?! Does anyone else think this month is flying by? I'm just trying to soak it all up whilst it's here so that's meant alllll the cosy Christmas films, Christmas markets, stockpiling the chocolates and lots of Xmas shopping. I have no idea what will be under the tree for me this year, I'm just excited for us to wake up with Bear on Christmas morning after dreaming about it for years, but as always I wanted to put together a little wishlist. I feel like I always have to say in posts like this that I am 100% grateful for anything I get and not expecting every single thing in this post or anything, it's just a bit of fun. Anyway, let's get started.

Let's talk about books first because to be honest I'd be more than happy to just unwrap a load of them this Christmas. I'm currently on book #98 of the year but I have no others lined up so another one or two to finish the year off would be perfect! My top pick would be Dear Evan Hansen. I actually read this a few months ago on Kindle but as I loved it so much and actually found it a huge comfort for various reasons I'd love an actual copy of it. The next book I'm hoping to read soon is Cilka's Journey as I started the year off with The Tattooist Of Auschwitz, also by Heather Morris. Cilka's Journey has had a bit more negative press than the former, as I do think more of it has been sensationalised rather than it being 100% a true story but I'm still really intrigued and want to see for myself how Heather has told this specific story. Next up, The Chain by Adrian McKinty which seems to be gaining momentum at the moment and receiving high praise. 'The only way to get your child back is to kidnap another child'. It sounds so dark but even just that one line has me gagging to read it. Finally, An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen. I read The Wife Between Us last year by the same two authors and couldn't get over the twist in that, it's still one of those books I stop and think about sometimes, so I'm incredibly excited to see what their new book is like!

First up beauty-wise is bath bombs, because a girl can never have too many! I much prefer the cold weather we're having at the moment compared to the warmer months we've had but it does mean I'm having allllll the bubble baths. I just can't get enough of them on a cold evening. I don't use bath bombs all the time but I do like to have a little stash ready to choose from when I feel like it. I don't often buy from Lush as the prices are a bit ridiculous now but I am crossing my fingers for a few bits this Christmas. I love the Frozen bath bomb so I'd love that again one day, but the others on my list that I've never tried before are Santa's Grotto, Luxury Lush Pud and Snowman Dreaming. One of the other beauty bits on my wishlist which is actually currently on offer for £13.49 instead of £26.99 is the L'oreal Paris Electric Nights Christmas Eyes Gift Set. This includes a mascara, eyeliner and a palette which has some of the most gorgeous shades. I really like to use copper and gold shades when I do use eyeshadow so this palette looks perfect. I'd also really love one of the Ted Baker Body Sprays this year too, they're only £4 too which is a bit of a bargain for the brand. I find their scents always smell absolutely beautiful and they last for such a long time.

I still personally love gifting DVD's and receiving them myself and the two on my list this year are both a few years old but ones that this year I fell in love with. I reviewed the book Everything Everything earlier on this year and the film is just as good, they've translated the story to screen beautifully and the casting is spot on. I'd love this so I can re-watch whenever, it's perfect for any cheesy romance lovers. The second and final film is Les Miserables. We're seeing this in less than a month in London and I am incredibly excited so I deffo need to watch the film again before we go. I just love everything about it.

Now onto the more random bits. I'm really desperate for a new scarf and I personally love getting things like this at Christmas. IT'S COLD PEOPLE! I already have a few I alternate but New Look have some really gorgeous ones out at the moment. I'm obsessed with their leopard print scarf and I'm kind of tempted to get it for myself anyway, I just love anything with a leopard print. I do love the look of the cream scarf and gloves set though because 1. look how soft the material looks, I think it would be so snug 2. I have NO gloves anywhere and it's far too cold outside now so I'm in desperate need. The last few bits are foodie items, the first being this gorgeous Crumble Dish Gift Set. I love a crumble and I'd love to start making my own more, I also think these little dishes would be perfect for pie. I see things like this every year and always want them. The last item I actually mentioned in my food & drink Christmas gift guide and it's the Kellogg's Pop Tart Gift Set. Do I need it? No. But do I want it? Yes. I just love Pop Tarts okay.

And that wraps up my 2019 Christmas wishlist! I've actually struggled to think of things this year, I really would be happy with just books and chocolate to be honest, I'm not that fussy 😂. I always much prefer buying for other people anyway. What are you hoping for this Christmas?

The dish set looks so cute. Typical that that's the thing to catch my eye. I've been so bad with creating a wishlist this year. I've been struggling to think of anything this year x
