Boxing Day Sales - What I Bought 2015.

I probably should have posted this a long time ago but I really haven't had chance until now! I have never been one of those people that has been that bothered about going sales shopping on Boxing Day, we live 10 minutes from Meadowhall but it would have been too busy and I can't enjoy it while its like that, so this year I did a bit of online shopping and found some really good deals.

The first place I looked was The Body Shop, I probably already have too much stuff of theirs already but they have some really good deals on all year round so I'm always having to pick stuff up! I also noticed they had their Passion Fruit range back and as they've took it away before I didn't want to miss out so I got the Body Butter for £7 which is normally £14 and the Shower Gel for £3 which is normally £4. The last thing I got was a Frosted Plum Shower Gel, I had been wanting to try something from this range since I saw it a few months ago and it was only £2 instead of £4. I also got some things from Lush, I did get a lot of things from there for christmas but I've missed out every year on the sale and this year I just wanted to stock up on a few christmas bits which I wont be able to get again til next year. It was a nightmare trying to get on the site, I tried all of Boxing Day but it wasn't working so I tried the day after and finally managed to place an order, unfortunately by the time I got onto it all of Shoot For The Stars Bath Bombs had sold out which is my favourite one but they still had Golden Wonder which is probably my second favourite so I got one of those, Cinder Bath Bomb, Dashing Santa Bath Bomb, a body scrub and a massage bar.
I also had a look on New Look as its one of my favourite shops, I just find everything I need from there and they're not too expensive at all. George got me some new pyjama bottoms for christmas in a tartan print, they're so soft, and I found the matching vest for only £4 instead of £12.99 so I ordered that, I also ordered this Zip Side Jumper in Khaki as I already have it in grey and wear it so much! It was £11 instead of £17.99 and its really worth the money. I was also so impressed with how quick they delivered, I ordered on boxing day and expected there to be some delay with it been christmas but i had it for the 29th!

Lush Favourites #1

I thought it was about time I did a post with all of my favourite things from Lush as I love so many of their products and I try to make sure i'm stocked up all through the year!
The Comforter, Snow Fairy, Golden Wonder and Intergalactic (not mentioned).

1.Shoot For The Stars

I don't actually have a picture of but its my absolute favourite! I first picked it up in Manchester in 2014 and as its a christmas one I have to make sure I get at least one or two each year, It just makes the water go a really deep, dark blue with glitter and I just love all the different colours you get from it.

2. The Comforter

I definitely prefer the excitement of bath bombs over bubble bars but this one is just the best. It's a perfect pink and it just makes my skin so soft, I love to use this when I've had a hard day or i'm feeling a bit stressed. It's one i'll always repurchase.

3. The Rough With The Smooth

I had never tried a body scrub from Lush until a few weeks ago, I ordered one in the Boxing Day sale and honestly, I can't wait to get it again, I've already gone through it and I loved it. It exfoliates your skin and you really feel so clean after this!

4. Golden Wonder

I just love this, first of all it's huge and you don't expect it to turn the water into the colour it does, and it has gold stars and glitter so its just amazing, again this is one that they stock at christmas so I always try to get a few of these a year, the smell is just amazing too.

5. Snow Fairy

How could I do this post and not mention Snow Fairy? I am in love with the smell of it, its just sweet and the bathroom just smells amazing for so long after I've used this! I think the little bottles are so cute aswell and so reasonably priced.

I love so many other things from Lush like Twilight Bath Bomb, Sex Bomb Bath Bomb, Brightside Bubble Bar, there's just loads!

What are your favourites from Lush?

Weekend Summary #16 and #17 - My Birthday!

The last week has been so busy as I was back at work and I've just had no time for blogging, literally haven't even thought about it until now, but I thought it was about time I did another one of my weekend posts!

Last weekend we went to Frankie and Benny's for an early birthday meal and it was so nice! George had doughballs to start and then a pulled pork bagel (I think) and I had chicken strips to start then a wrap which was really nice but I went for the spicy one so I couldn't eat a lot of it, we shared brownies for dessert too which were amazing. While we were there we picked up a few things we needed for the flat, boring things like towels, nothing exciting! but it was still a nice day out. That weekend we also finished Luther, I don't know what to do now its over, I loved it so much! I can't recommend it enough, we started it a few weeks ago and got through all 4 series so fast but it just hooks you in and every episode is as good as the last, definitely one we'll re watch.
The weekend just gone we had Georges brothers over to stop and over the last week or so I've been celebrating my birthday as I was working on the day. George has cooked for me, we've been to the cinema, we've been out for a meal, its all been really nice. We decided not to get each other much this year for our birthday, as mine is only a week after christmas and Georges is at the end of January, its hard to afford it to be honest and we both knew we wanted to go to London again in a few months, last year we went as a late valentines trip so we want to do the same again but as its so expensive we're just saving at the moment. George did get me some of my favourites from Lush and a big set from Soap and Glory and a few other things. The actual day wasn't great to be honest,I just wasn't excited this year and to say it was my 21st it's kind of sad but i'm sure i'll make up for it another year, I don't know, I wasn't fussed about new years either, I've just not wanted to celebrate. That said, it was lovely to wake up on Saturday and see that George and the boys had lit the birthday cake with candles, blown up balloons and put banners up and they sang Happy Birthday to me. We also went to the cinema that day to see Daddy's Home, which we all loved. It was so much better than I thought it would be, I really really enjoyed it. Also is everyone else obsessed with adult colouring books at the moment? George got me one for Christmas and a few days later I bought a Harry Potter one, its so relaxing.
I hope you are all well and settling back into work after the new year! What have you been up to?

2015...

I did one of these posts last year, a sort of review of the year I suppose and it'll be nice for me to look back on one day so I'm going to make it something I do every year, the 2014 one is here if you want to have a read.
An old picture of us but one of my favourites, Manchester Christmas Market 2015, Christmas Day this year, London 2015.
One of the main things that happened in 2015, if not the main thing is that I finally got a job! It took me so long but I finally did it and I love it. I don't know why it took me so long, I had literally been trying for a year to find something, in Leicester before we moved back and then in Sheffield but luckily someone took a chance on me. I love that my job is a mix of working in the office doing admin things and being on reception, I like both so its nice that during the week there is a mix of both. I feel like I've really settled in now and I've got to know a lot of the clients and people know my name! I feel like I was obviously meant to get this job as it took me so long and I had volunteered at this place before so it all seemed to work out. George also got a new job this year and I am so proud of him. I was anyway but now hes doing something he really enjoys and I know hes going to do so well.

We went to London for the first time this year and I loved it, we've already decided to go back in a few months so I can't wait for that. I think we're going to go for a bit longer next time as it just goes so quick and there is so much to see! We stayed right near the London Eye so we definitely want to stay in the same hotel and make sure we see places we didn't last time. It's kind of our birthday present to each other too as its so expensive so I really want to go all out this time. We also went to Manchester for the Christmas Market again as we went last year and its really one of my favourite places, it just makes me so happy when we go there for a few days and I really want to make it a tradition that we go every year.

Christmas 2014, we hadn't been in the flat long, it was so rushed but I made sure 2015 was different, as we were properly settled. We had a really good christmas, I got prepared so early this year and it was a really nice day. We've definitely decided next time we move we aren't doing it just before christmas as it was a nightmare last year! We still have things we want to change in the flat, we always do, but we're getting there month by month, the living room is so cosy now and I really love it and as we're going to be living here for another year or so, I want to get every room sorted and properly how we want it. I've got so many ideas!

Like last year, there has been so many ups and downs and I don't know how we always manage to get through it but we do, every year I look forward to whatever else is yet to come, we have some really exciting things planned for 2016 so hopefully its going to be a good year for us!

What I Got For Christmas 2015.

I was not expecting to get as many presents as I did this christmas, we both got each other more than we had planned and spent more than we had thought we would but we wanted to make it really special this year. I was totally spoilt I don't know where to start but I really wanted to do this post.

I got quite a few things from Lush, some of my favourites and some new things to try which im excited about, Butterbear, Shoot For The Stars, Golden Wonder, Bar Humbug, Intergalactic and Father Christmas. I've already used the Father Christmas one which I really loved, I'd never thought to pick it up before but its definitely one I want to get again next year. I also got a few Lush sets from some other people, from one of our friends I got the Snow Fairy Gift Set, I love Snow Fairy and had just ran out from last year so this is perfect! and from somebody I work with I got The Night Before Christmas set. I definitely wasn't expecting to get anything from people at work so I am really grateful, I also got a bottle of wine from somebody else I work with and my boss got me a little Champneys gift set and a mug which says 'Keep Calm, I'm the receptionist' I was so happy with that seriously.
From Georges Auntie I got a lovely necklace, from his uncle we got a big box of chocolates which we've already gone through and from his other uncle we got a chocolate melting mug where you can light a candle at the bottom of it and it melts chocolate at the top so you can dip things into it, I can't wait to use it. We also got some really nice chocolates and candles from his brothers, the candles smell so good and they're all christmas themed so I can keep christmas going on for months and months yet ;). A few other bits I got from George were some perfume from New Look which I'm going to keep in my bag at work, its the perfect size, This Works Dream Team Duo which has a deep sleep pillow spray and a de-stress spray, which I definitely need, a new book The Husbands Secret which looks really good, I can't wait to get reading it, and I had been going on for ages about how I wanted a big tub of just the strawberry chocolates from Quality Street, i'd seen them in a few shops and was really hoping he would get me some and he did, im savoring every single one as I love them so much.
There were other things too but this post is already long enough and I worry people will think im just bragging, i'm really not, I like reading these posts from other people and to see what they've got, so maybe people will like to see what I got too. Christmas this year has been amazing, we got some really good presents but its not all about that, its been nice having time off together and spending it with family too.

Did you get anything exciting for Christmas? I'd love to know!
