I actually got the idea for this post from the lovely Kirstys 100 blog post ideas that she posted recently. There are so many brilliant ideas on that post so if you're currently having a bit of bloggers block like me, definitely give it a read! One of her ideas was to pick 5 of your favourite photos from the month and as I'd never done anything like it before on my blog, I thought it seemed perfect! I've just picked 3 for January but I definitely think it's something I'm going to try and keep up with all year!
The first photo I chose because I can't stop looking at it, is the delicious chocolate waffle I shared with George when we went out to Pizza Hut for my birthday. We've been 2 years in a row now for my birthday because pizza is just the best and it's somewhere we know we'll enjoy. After eating a load of pizza, we couldn't not get dessert, and as my beloved white chocolate and raspberry cookie dough seems to have gone from the menu (WHY ðŸ˜), we decided on this and it was such a good decision. Everything about it was so tasty and I'm definitely having it next time we go.
The next photo I loved last month is one I actually took in 2017 but posted again recently. Now Christmas is out of the way, I'm looking forward to Easter and I'm so happy that all the Easter chocolate is back out! I've already started buying it because I can't get enough. Last year I made a rocky road for the first time which had mini creme eggs in and mini eggs and it was incredible. Definitely one of the best things I've ever baked and I can't wait to make it again this year. I also really love the picture I got of it for some reason, it can be tricky to take good photos of baked stuff sometimes but I think this turned out quite well. The last photo I was really happy with in January was this one of my mini Ghost Eclipse perfume. I got this for my birthday, and it's a perfume I'd been wanting to try for so long so this was such a nice thing to unwrap. I got straight to it with taking blog pictures and I'm really happy with how they turned out. I like this because I used a few different props for the first time in a while and even though it's just quite simple, it looked nice on Instagram I think.
I have a few different pictures I could have included in this but I think these are the 3 that I posted on Instagram which I'm really happy with. I know I don't take the best photos but I think it's nice to look back each month and pick a few that you're proud of!
