One Of My Favourite Memories...

I was thinking last night about all of the things I used to love as a kid and Winnie the Pooh was the ultimate favourite of mine and he is too cute to not blog about. I know my blog is a bit varied and I talk about loads of different things, but thats how I like it. Anyway, I loved him and I actually had a book made for me too when I was little and my name was specifically put in there and I was in the story with all the characters. I probably still have it somewhere and i'd love to find it and read it to my kids one day! How cool is that though. It's only now when I look back that I realise how special it is to me and I have another cuddly toy that I keep with me that was bought as a special present for me on my 18 birthday.
When I was thinking about it last night I looked on Google and saw all these quotes from the books and dvds that obviously as a little kid I didn't think about at the time but now they are all so relevant and some I will definitely think about when I am feeling a little bit down or sad. I like to look at quotes when I'm having a bad day or things aren't going great to make me realise how good life actually is and to just cheer me up a little!
Were you a big fan of Winnie the Pooh growing up?

30 Day Challenge - Day 22...

Day 22 - How have you changed in the past two years?

I don't think that as a person I have changed too much. I probably look a little bit different and hopefully a little bit older but other than that I would say I am very much the same. My personality is the same but especially after moving into our own place I have definitely grown up. I have always been mature and in my head I am already a 30 year old. I have been for years! The way I think and the things I do are the same as people a lot older than me. Since I was a kid I have always dreamed of having my own place, being in a happy relationship, getting married and having children and now as I get older those things are getting closer but my head is already there!

I would say I am still as independent as before. I used to live with my mum and dad who obviously did a lot for me, I never had to cook my own tea, do my washing, tidy my room. It was all literally done before I had chance and I do wish I had have been able to have learnt a few things. I have taught myself all of these things and George has taught me too. So in the last two years I have definitely learnt new skills and things that everyone should know!
Have you changed much?

30 Day Challenge - Day 21...

Day 21 - One of your favourite shows.

There are so many different shows I watch that I think it is just impossible to pick a favourite. I love all the soaps like Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Eastenders and Hollyoaks. I watch them all without fail everyday, out of all of those Coronation Street is definitely the best. Though I do go through phases where one is better than the other. I like programmes like The X Factor, Britains Got Talent, TOWIE and Made In Chelsea. I have seen every single episode of TOWIE and I can't wait for the next series to start.

Dramas like Scott and Bailey and Broadchurch, typical ITV sorts of programmes are really good too and I love having a long series to watch every week.
Whats your favourite show?

100 Happy Days - Day 29...

Day 29.

I went shopping today and got some great things. I went mostly for clothes and bought a jacket and two tops and then I bought some food and a few other bits! Normally we go out together, there isn't any reason not too really but today George stayed in and actually tidied the flat and I went out shopping. George is fully stocked up on supplies now for the England match tonight, I am a very good girlfriend today!

30 Day Challenge - Day 20...

Day 20 - How important you think education is.

Of course I think education is very important. Everyone should be entitled to the opportunity to learn and do well. Going to school is part of life and growing up. You learn vital skills and knowledge that you will take with you forever and will need at some point. Most of the time we don't think of it like that when we're there though! I remember primary school and secondary school always thinking 'when will I need to know this?' but I've probably used a lot of what i've learnt without even realising.

Aswell as learning at school, it's also a place to meet new people. I made friends in primary school who I stayed in touch with for years, some who I saw all the time and literally became best friends. In secondary school I met some of the best people and some of them I still talk to now and others I wish I'd stayed in touch with. I had such a good group of friends in my final years at secondary school and we all got on so well and I think one day if we saw each other we probably would talk and I think if we had the chance, maybe even just an hour together one day, I think we would all go straight back to how it was a few years ago. Having been through college and a few months of uni, it really has made me realise how much I do miss school and how good it was and I shouldn't have taken it for granted when I was there.

100 Happy Days - Day 27...

Day 27.

I made such a good tea, I was so proud! It was simple but I love trying new things and experimenting! It didn't look good so I didn't want to put a picture on here but it tasted amazing. I made smashed potatoes for the first time and I know theyre going to become a favourite of mine!

30 Day Challenge - Day 19...

Day 19.

Disrespecting your parents.

I think my parents would definitely say that growing up I disrespected them, at the time I didn't realise that though, or I didn't care! Even though there were times when I was a bit stroppy and argumentative I think a lot of the time it was justified. I think you can definitely say that me and my parents clash. I am someone who is independent and I do what I want. I was quite well behaved but as soon as I got into my teenage years my attitude and theirs clashed. I don't think I turned out how they wanted me too. It's a bit strange to talk about because at the moment we don't have a relationship so other people might find it a bit harder to relate to.

100 Happy Days - Day 26...

Day 26.

Now George has finished uni for the year we have so much spare time! He doesn't start his second year til September so we literally have ages together. It's going to be so nice to relax together everyday, I'm used to been in normally but George has had to get up early to go out. Today we just had a lie in, he went to the shop and bought a few things we needed and then we just stayed in bed watching TV and doing nothing! It was so lovely.

The Biggest Wedding Of The Year...

So I'm sure everyone knows now that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are now married, it's like the biggest thing thats happened in a while and it was always going to be all over the news! The pictures from the wedding are now online and I just had to blog about a few as they are all gorgeous! I am such a big fan of the Kardashians and I'm not ashamed to say it. No matter what you think of them, they have built this empire and they're not going anywhere.

Kims dress is perfect, it fits and suits her so well! So much better than the one she wore to her wedding to Kris Humphries.
What do you think to her dress? Do you like the Kardashians?

Day 18 - Your Beliefs.

I wouldn't say I have any really firm beliefs that I live by but I suppose the main one that a lot people gain support from is 'Everything happens for a reason'.

I can see why people live by this and the more I think about it the more it puts things into perspective for me. I do think that whether you go through bad times or good times they all happen to make you the person that you are. Sometimes you have to go through the bad to get the good and a lot of bad things have definitely happened to me! I know though that I am not as worse off as some others in different situations and I am grateful for what I have and the things I have been lucky enough to experience in my life.

Green Earth Frying Pan by Ozeri Review...

A few weeks ago I was sent a product to review by Ozeri which I was so excited about!  Ozeri are a company that specialise in lifestyle products for the home. They sell products for the kitchen and bathroom aswell a range of health and fitness products. I could choose from a number of products to review but I chose the Green Earth Frying Pan. I chose this product because it was something I was likely to use over and over again and I didn't want to review something that wasn't going to be of any use to me.
When the product arrived it was packaged well and no damage had been done. The pan itself is one of the worlds first frying pans that achieves non-stick perfection while remaining free of harmful chemicals. This pan has a textured ceramic cooking surface which prevents food bonding for non stick performance. The surface creates air pockets which distribute heat underneath the food to enhance cooking. 'The ceramic coating isn't harmful in anyway as it is derived from nature - not a laboratory.'

While cooking I noticed that there was not one scratch on the pan. This is great as with all my other pans I use for cooking they are covered in marks from my utensils! The coating is durable and scratch resistant which is perfect is you do a lot of cooking and want something that is going to last a long time without getting damaged.

This pan is also good if you are a bit health conscious and don't want to use a lot of oil to cook your food. This product allows for you to cook with half the amount of oil you would normally use and it is also very easy to clean after you have finished! Just wash in warm soapy water and within seconds you have a pan that looks brand new again.

I was making chilli tonight so wanted to use this pan to brown off the mince. As the pan is a bit smaller than I expected I wasn't sure how the meat was gong to cook and if it would cover all of it but it did! It is made with high quality anodized aluminium which allows for even cooking and it prevents the risk of hot spots. The pan also has a magnetized bottom for rapid heat transfer on induction stoves and a heat resistant silicone coated handle. I thought it was really good that it has a coated handle as it means no matter how hot the pan gets you won't feel it and there is minimum risk of burning yourself!
I would definitely recommend this pan and even though it is quite small it is definitely okay if you are just making a meal for two people. It will also be great for eggs, omelettes, bacon and pancakes so I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of this!

You can buy the pan on Amazon HERE.

You can view other products they sell on their official site Ozeri or Amazon.

What do you think to this? Would you buy it?

*I was sent this to review, I only feature products and brands I feel are relevant to me and my blog

30 Day Challenge - Day 17...

Day 17 - Your Highs and Lows of the Past Year.

There are always highs and low in my life. Things are never straight forward and as I mentioned in my previous post things are not great at the moment. The obvious high would be me and George moving in together. It was everything we had hoped it would be and more and we just love it. We get to cook for each other, do food shops together, tidy up together, just little things that couples do! I love it. The lows would be that there has been some family arguments this year and one just recently and I can't see how things are going to get better. I have just had enough and though it is hard and I don't think I have fully grasped yet that I am no longer talking to some people in my family I know that is what I needed to do to feel happy in the long run. The reason for this is very complicated and it would be very hard to explain to people who don't know me but it is regarding uni and me and George and I just need people to realise this is my life and when they do I am more than happy for things to be how they used to be. For now it is just me and George.

A Little Life Update...

Everything is all over the place at the moment and I wanted to update you all on it, I'm not sure why but this blog is like a diary for me and sometimes I just need to talk about things!

Things do not seem to be going well at the moment and it's really getting me down. I feel like at the moment that I am just stuck. I left uni last month as I hated it. I was in my first year studying to be a Children's nurse and for years I was set on doing that. Everything I did in school and college was geared towards me becoming a nurse. We moved to Leicester together and found a flat and both started at De Montfort. I really thought everything was going to be perfect but it just hasn't worked out that way.

I think in a way I knew as soon as my course started that I wasn't going to enjoy it. I'm not sure why but I think a lot of things contributed to it. I didn't really make any friends, I spoke to people and usually had people to sit with but sometimes I felt like such a loner and now I don't really have anyone. I have a few friends in Sheffield who I went to school and College with who I stay in touch with but things aren't the same now I've moved and never see them and I really hoped I would have made some good friends for life at uni, but that didn't happen. The work was so hard, I knew it would be but until you're actually there you can't predict what it's going to be like. I know every other uni course involves exams and coursework but nursing is seriously full on and I had hardly any time for anything else and I just couldn't do it. I failed my first assignment and I thought I had done well. I tried so so hard and was so proud of what I did and I got horrible, and I mean horrible nasty feedback from a tutor and it just put me down. I felt like I just didn't have the drive any more. I thought I would carry on and see how my first placement was and I wish I hadn't. I started in January and did a few shifts and on the way there and on the way back I would just cry. I hated it. I should have loved it and I should have loved being with the children but I wasn't allowed to spend any time with them or actually care for them and that was the reason I wanted to do the job in the first place. It just wasn't how I thought it would be or how they made it out to be. It's such a shame but that's just how its all worked out. I'm sure I'll do a full post explaining a bit more one day but for now I'll just leave it at that.

There has been a family fall out too on my side so things are not good regarding that now either, so everything seems to be a bit of a mess at the moment. Life just isn't going my way but I know things will get better and one day I will have everything I've ever wanted and it will all be worth it in the end. I hope so anyway!

Day 24.

I have not been in the best mood today at all and almost every little thing has irritated me and annoyed me. I don't know what is wrong with me. We had a nice lie in this morning though and breakfast and tea was made for us today which was very nice. We're back in Leicester tomorrow and we have about 4 parcels waiting so they'll definitely be some posts and reviews up on the blog over the next few days and we have a food shop being delivered tomorrow too so that will be up aswell!

British Soap Awards 2014...

As I've said before I love seeing what people wore to awards like this. Recently we had the British Soap Awards and the next day I was online looking at all the outfits! I was a bit disappointed with some of the looks from this years awards. I'm not sure why but some of the outfits and dresses people wore were not what I imagined they would be. To be fair some people did look gorgeous and got it right as always including Michelle Keegan who can't go wrong no matter what she wears! Here are some of the looks of the night!
Emmerdale: (Left to Right) Maddy Hill, Kellie Bright, Danny Dyer, Sam Strike and Danny-Boy Hatchard arriving for the 2014 British Soap Awards
Eastenders Maddy Hill, Kellie Bright, Danny Dyer, Sam Strike and Danny Boy Hatchard - I think all of these stars have looked so much better at previous events! I think the only one who looks really good here is Danny Dyer. I really like his suit and it's Danny Dyer so he would look good in anything! Maddy Hill and Kellie Bright looked lovely at the BAFTA's this month.
Sam Bailey
Sam Bailey - I'm not sure why Sam Bailey was there and she does annoy me a little bit but this dress is really nice and fits well over her baby bump!
Debbie Rush arriving for the 2014 British Soap Awards at the Hackney Empire, London
Coronation Street Debbie Rush - I think this is a great choice though and her hair and shoes go really well with the dress. It's just gorgeous. It is a nice length, not too short or long and the capped sleeves are different to other styles people wore too!
Sophie Austin (left) looked classy but Charlie Clapham wore some dodgy shoes at the Hackney Empire, London
Hollyoaks Sophie Austin and Charlie Clapham - This might be my favourite look of the night! I think sophie's dress is just gorgeous and fits her so well. Her clutch is a nice addition to it aswell. Charlie looks great too and is shirt adds a different touch to the suit.
Dramatic: Jacqueline Jossa revealed plenty of flesh ion her sheer-topped dress
Eastenders Jacqueline Jossa -  I have liked her previous looks but I just don't like the colours of this. I think the style on the top half of the dress if pretty and would look much better if the bottom half was a different colour.
Hollyoaks Jennifer Metcalfe - To me this looks like something you would wear out in summer, maybe to the beach or something if you were away? It doesn't scream red carpet to me and even though her shoes are gorgeous I just don't think they go with the outfit.

What do you think of these outfits? Some people got it so right and I adore some of the dresses, especially Corries Anna, her dress is my fave!

30 Day Challenge - Day 16...

Day 16.

Your views on mainstream music.

I love any sort of music, especially anything that is in the charts at the moment. I have a wide range of music that I listen too and over the years my style regarding this has definitely changed. I used to listen to a lot of bands like My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars etc. I don't know why, I just went through a phase and it was what a lot of my friends at the time listened too! Now I would say that whatever comes on the radio, I will listen too and enjoy!

I love old music and lots of 90's pop that I liked when I was little is still on my ipod and I will listen to it over and over. I loved B*Witched, Steps, S Club, any bands that were around when I was born I like. Especially with The Big Reunion that was on ITV2 last year and this year has only reaffirmed my love for these bands and has introduced me to some that I didn't even know about. Honeyz, 911, A1 and Eternal are some that I recognised their songs but didn't know who they were but now they are on my iPod.

Arctic Monkeys will always be a favourite of mine. I have loved them for years and as they're from Sheffield like me of course I am going to be a fan. I can honestly say I have liked every album they have done and I've been lucky enough to see them live twice! The first time being at Sheffield Arena and the second been at Don Valley Stadium which was just amazing. Alex Turner is just gorgeous too so that definitely is part of the reason I love them so much and why I would really like to see them again live.
Michael Buble is another favourite of mine, his voice is just gorgeous! I keep asking George to take me to see him live. Maybe one day.

30 Day Challenge - Day 14...

Day 14 - Your earliest memory.

I don't really know if I can remember anything! I have such bad memory but I'll try.

I do remember going to my Grandma's a lot (on my dads side) and we used to stay for the weekend. They used to always take us to the library and rent books and dvds for a few days and my brother who is a few years younger than me loved it. I did enjoy it too and always found a film I wanted to watch! It was a typical thing that we did a lot and it wasn't until we both got a bit older that we stopped doing it. I remember too going shopping with my grandma a lot too. She used to take me into Chesterfield sometimes, where I never went as it is a bit too far from Sheffield to go just to walk around the shops but as she lived closer it made sense to go. I remember one time we went and I ended up buying loads, I was probably about 11 or something like that and I bought something from every shop! Normally on the Sunday when my mum and dad came to pick us up we'd have a Sunday lunch and they were always so nice! I love her cooking, and her baking! It is probably from her that I get my love of baking from. She bakes a lot and she always makes cakes, bun, biscuits, all sorts of stuff. I used to love going and some days she'd suggest making a cake and we'd bake a lovely chocolate cake! I bake a lot now and I might not have had any love for it if I had not done it with my grandma before. It is something I'll definitely do with my kids and grandkids one day.

Day 13.

Somewhere you would like to move or visit.

There are so many places I would love to visit and really hope we get chance to one day! Venice is the place I would like to go to the most, I love the look of it as it looks so calm and beautiful and so different to anywhere else I have been. I would love to go on a Gondola, they look so pretty and I know it would be so much fun to finally go on one. Also Rome would be nice to go to aswell!
New York is also somewhere I would love to visit. I have never been to America and George has promised me he will take me one day! I'd love to go and see Times Square,The department stores, Grand Central Station, World Trade Centre Memorial and Central Park. I'd also love to go to Florida one day too.

30 Day Challenge - Day 12...

Day 12.

Bullet your whole day.

This is going to be difficult as I probably won't remember much of what happened and i'm sorry if anyone finds it boring but I really don't do much at the moment!

11.00am - We didn't wake up til late even though we planned to get up about 9 and go out! It was a nice lie in though and very much needed.

12.00pm - Getting ready to go out for the day.

1.00pm - We finally set off and went for a walk into Hillsborough (In Sheffield). Just before we went I found £40 in my purse and I have no idea where it came from so we were very happy! It's not often something like that happens to us.

2.15pm - After walking round the shops and spending money we went for a drink and something to eat at a cafe which was so nice! I love cute little cafes.

3.20pm - Back at George's dads and waiting for Alfie to get home, just chilling watching a bit of TV.

3.30 - 7.30 pm - My feet have been killing after walking round today so I have been sat on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon! It was so nice to just relax and do nothing for a while!

7.30 - Tea is ready! We're having pizza tonight which looks delicious. One of my favourite meals.

20.15 - We're all sat watching harry potter, I've never seen the last two films all the way through so hopefully tonight we can get through the first part! Harry Potter is one of those films that is perfect to cosy up to in the evening.

11.00 Now upstairs in bed! Not much has happened today but I am so tired and can't wait to sleep.

So, that was my day! Not very interesting at all but really lovely. Some days aren't particuarly interesting and that's okay.

100 Happy Days - Day 20...

Day 20.

We finished the cake that we made yesterday, today with Alfie and even though it didn't look too good, it definitely tasted nice! We attempted to ice it and decorate it and we definitely need some practice.
