Lush The Comforter...

I don't think there is one blogger I follow who doesn't love The Comforter from Lush. It's been of my favourites for years now but because I get so caught up in all the amazing bath bombs, its not one I purchase a lot.
First of all I just love the colour, it makes the water go a really soft pink, darker if you add more. But I like to use a chunk of this with some Radox that way I get a really good bubble bath with a little bit of colour too! This will easily last me 5 baths or so as I don't use loads but even when I feel like i'm using a lot, it just seems to last forever!

I definitely want to start getting more bubble bars rather than bath bombs from Lush. I really do go a bit mad at christmas with the bath bombs just because they bring so many out and its so exciting, I think this year will be even worse because now I have a job, i'm going to have a worrying amount to spend in Lush! Anyway I love the bath bombs at christmas like Shoot For The Stars which is my absolute favourite but throughout the rest of the year I think, this is going to sound fancy, its more cost effective to get a bubble bar, for me anyway. As they last so long, you can easily get more than a few baths out of it whereas for only about a pound less or so you can get a bath bomb and only get one use out of it.

Do you like The Comforter? I really want to go to the Oxford Street store as I know they do the comforter shower gel as an exclusive, I bet it smells amazing!

Recent Beauty and Random Favourites...

As I said in my Beauty, Food and TV Favourites, I am just going to do these posts every so often, when I feel like they're are things worth mentioning. I don't want to commit to doing monthly favourites as some months I just go blank and can't think of anything I've been particularly loving or anything I've bought. It turns out over the last few weeks there has been a few new things which I've been really enjoying and I wanted to share them!
1. Ted - We bought this when the boys came to stay as we love having movie nights and it always works out so much cheaper than going to the cinema. They wanted this mainly because it came with a free t-shirt but I don't think they had seen it before and me and George hadn't watched it in ages. It's still just as funny as the first time I watched it, which was ages ago now. I really want to see the second film but i'm not sure if it will be as good as the first!

2. Colorfy App - I found this app a few weeks ago after someone posted a picture of it on Instagram. I might be 20 but I still love colouring and I've heard from so many people that it helps them with their anxiety so I really wanted to give a try. I like going on this for a bit each night to keep me calm and nice and relaxed just before bed. There are so many different patterns, animals, flowers etc that you can choose to colour. I really recommend it if you need something to distract you for a while.

3. Love Rosie - I posted a review of this film just recently as we had recently been watching it again, I've just fallen in love with it all over again. It's just a perfect romantic comedy and it's just a really easy watch. We put this on most nights if there is nothing on but we need something on to fall asleep too. You can read my full review here

4. Primark Bedding - Since we moved in, I have wanted a pastel theme for the bedroom and slowly but surely we are getting there, we've lived here for ages now but it seems to be taking so long to get each room done exactly how we want it. I found this bedding set for only £11 in Primark and I had to get it. I also got two extra pillowcases for only £2. You can't beat Primark for homeware as its so reasonably priced. I love how different this bedding is to anything else we have. We have a really light blue bedding set and we have a red one which is more of a spare, I think this new one might be my favourite.

5. Next Perfume - I picked this up on a bit of a whim a few weeks ago when Next had a huge sale on. I can't resist it when they have a sale on, especially on things like this. This perfume won't overtake my Boss Orange as my favourite but it's a close second. It's different to any others I have and not only does it smell good, I love the bottle. It reminds me a lot of Jo Malone, without the huge price tag. I just can't justify spending over £80 on a perfume. This was only £9 and it was supposed to be £25 so a real bargain. I'm already feeling sad at the thought of this running out!

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation...

I don't often do posts on things that have disappointed me but I feel like when I find something that I have high hopes for and it lets me down, it needs mentioning.

I mentioned in my Beauty, Food and TV Favourites that I had recently gone back to my Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation as I had bought the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and it had disappointed me. I think I should just stick with Rimmel products, cos they just seem to be the best! First of all I was disappointed with the shade range. In Boots where I looked, there was 4 options available so it was very limited and I just kind of had to guess and compare it to what shade I have in the Rimmel Foundation. I got it in the shade 120 Classic Ivory which was the second lightest. I tried a bit of my hand and it looked okay but when I tried it at home, I looked orange. Full on orange.
There is no way I can ever wear this, im just so disappointed that I can't find a shade suitable for me at all and with only 4 options available in my store I think a lot of people would struggle. I'm also not impressed with the consistency of this. It seems a bit more runny than my Rimmel foundation and I've seen a few reviews where people have mentioned this too, as its quite thin, I didn't find it gave great coverage. Others may disagree though as I have seen quite a lot of positive reviews about it. Maybe I just picked a bad one up and I should give it another go if I can find it in my shade. It's so annoying when you spend money on a product, expecting it to be good, to then get no use out of it.

I normally love Maybelline products. I have the Fit Me Concealer which I don't think i'll ever stop using, its great for covering marks and spots - full review here. It's been called a dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer so it must be good. I also love their Matte Maker Powder which is great for getting your makeup to stay on all day.

What do you think to Maybelline products? Have you had the same problem as me with this foundation?

Easy Overnight Oats Recipe

Until a few months ago I had no idea what Overnight Oats was, Slimming World has introduced me to so many new things and I love it for that. I'm not a massive porridge fan unless its coated in sugar so I wanted something a bit different to do with oats and thats when I found the recipe for Overnight Oats. I didn't know what to expect but they are so creamy and filling and a definite favourite of mine now!
Ingredients:
45g of oats
Fat Free Yoghurt, I usually use plain Greek style yoghurt but this time I used 2 Activia yoghurts
I also added Frozen fruit but you can add fresh if you prefer

Method:
1. Add half the oats to a jar or glass, top with a tablespoon of yoghurt, I then added some frozen berries
2. On top of the berries add the remaining oats then another tablespoon or two of yoghurt. Top again with fruit

That is it and you literally leave it in the fridge overnight for it to all sort of soak together. In the morning you can give it a stir so it goes really creamy and everything has mixed together.

Let me know if you give this a try! It's such a great one to prepare the night before and so you don't have to worry about breakfast the next morning.

Primark Haul and Ed's Diner with the boys...

First of all, i'm sorry for the lack of posts the last few days. I made my blog private for personal reasons, basically you don't always know who's looking at it and their reasons for it but now I just don't care. I shouldn't have to stop doing something I enjoy because of other people.

I'm back now and hopefully they'll be 2 or 3 posts out a week like I had just managed to get back into! I had so many written that I really wanted to publish but i'll just have to be a bit behind for a week or so. Anyway, this weekend we had George's brothers over and we introduced them to Ed's Diner and we also all did a bit of shopping. I love it when they come and stop for the weekend, they're just so funny. We took Alfie to Ed's Diner last year and he loved it so we thought it would be nice to take them both this time. If you haven't been before, I really recommend it! They do american diner food, in case you hadn't already guessed from the name, and their desserts are just amazing.
Me and George shared Wet Fries which are just chips and gravy, we get these every time and they always taste so delicious! I had a chicken burger, same as the boys and George had his usual chilli cheese burger. They also had Bacon and Cheese fries. For dessert we had cheesecake, another thing we get every time but I think it's the best I've ever had, Alfie had a huge sundae and Charlie got pancakes, he had a bit of a problem with the sugar as you can see from the picture! They tasted good though, I think we might need to get those next time!

When we were at Meadowhall, I popped into Primark as I wanted to look for a few homeware bits, i'm always looking for new things for the flat. I found a really nice bedding set for only £11 which I thought was a bargain. I'm putting it on later today and I think it's going to go really well with the pastel theme I've planned for the bedroom. I also just got a new reed diffuser in the scent jasmine, I love to have these around the flat, Alfie also got a candle as they had so many, I had to stop myself from picking some up, like I always do. The last thing I got was a new top for work. The picture makes it look way brighter than it is, it's a burnt orange colour which I think will look nice with some black jeans. I have this top in khaki, I featured it in this blog post, they're just so great to throw on and are really comfortable, for £4 you can't complain. When we got in, as we were all full of from Ed's, we just wanted a relaxing night, they all had a few games on fifa and then we all watched Ted. I hadn't watched it in ages but I forgot how funny it is, I really want to see the second one but it always seems to be the case that sequels aren't as good as the first film. Let me know if you've seen it and how it compares to the first!

On Sunday when the boys had gone, we just got a few things done around the flat and made a nice meal for tea. We didn't have much in so we picked a few things up from Marks and Spencer's, I just love all their food, I could buy it all. We wanted some sort of proper Sunday dinner so we got a chicken pie, so good, roast potatoes which are my absolute favourite, some veg and some Yorkshire Puddings. I could eat it all over again.
What have you been upto this weekend?
