Barry M - Espresso...

I put this on a few days ago as I needed a bit of a change and even though it's black and not really appropriate for summer, I just love it.
I try to stick to darker shades for my nails during autumn and winter, if you didn't see, I did a post all about this last year. I just think the colder months really suit colours like dark red, black, mustard, dark blues etc. When it starts getting close to summer, I always go for the pastel colours but when I was looking, I just couldn't find any I wanted to wear. I had a pastel yellow one on for about 2 days and then it started chipping and gradually got worse. I really need to invest in some new ones soon!

I decided to go for my trusty Barry M - Espresso. It just lasts for so long and I think it looks great on. I know this sounds really soppy but the weekend we got engaged I had black nail polish on so when I wear it, it always reminds me of that and the first picture I took of my engagement ring. I think this colour looks best with it too to be honest!

I've always loved Barry M products, especially their Gelly High Shine Nail Polish. I didn't realise until I bought Espresso that it was actually matte and I hate matte nails. It makes me feel funny, so I topped it with the Barry M Base Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener which gives a lovely shine.
What colour do you love wearing on your nails in summer? Have you got this Barry M nail polish?

My Favourite Scents...

I'm not the type of person who has a massive wardrobe full of new clothes, a huge beauty collection, all the things typical bloggers have but as I have posted quite a lot about makeup and beauty I thought I would do a post a little different and talk about my favourite scents.

I don't have a huge amount of perfume, just a few favourite bottles but the ones I have are some of the best.

One I have had for a few months is the Boss Orange Eau De Toilette which I just love. It is the perfect scent for the warm weather. It's a fruity scent with hints of vanilla and it isn't too strong. I can just put a little bit of this on my neck and wrists and I can smell it for hours, but its not overpowering. It's one of those that would make people ask what perfume it is, for all of the right reasons. I love the packaging too, this is quite pricey but it is on sale every so often and you can get a smaller version in a gift set too. George got me this for our first christmas and he bought it me again this year for valentines, I think it will be one that hopefully he will get me every so often on special occasions!
Another perfume I use is The Body Shop Amazonian Wild Lily Eau De Toilette. I got this in a huge body shop set. It was over a year ago now but I bought something the body shop had on offer. It was around £80 reduced to £40 but the contents was worth way more than that. It was a bag just full of all their different products and I think there was actually more than one perfume in there. I did a post on it a while ago which you can read here if you want. This just smells really fresh, as described on the website, it has an aquatic scent and it isn't a really strong scent. This is one I just put on if I am in a rush, I also like to spray a bit around the flat sometimes to freshen it up a little bit!
What's your favourite perfume?
