Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

I last made these cookies a good few months ago now but I think I need to make more soon as they were so good, I really wanted to share the recipe as it is so simple and you don't need too many ingredients. When I first made these I actually left two main ingredients out but I think they turned out even better! So these actually have no eggs or vanilla extract. I thought that by leaving these out they would be awful but they were so nice, they were definitely a bit more chewy and crispy but still soft in the middle.
125g butter, softened
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
225g self raising flour
1/2 tsp salt
200g chocolate chips or a bar broken into small pieces. You can add any type of chocolate, I think they would be nice with a mix of milk and white!

If you did want to add the original ingredients you can also add 1 egg, beaten and a tsp of vanilla essence.

1. Pre heat oven to 180 degrees
2. Cream butter and sugars together until they form a smooth mixture. This would be when you add the vanilla and the egg but obviously I missed that out
3. Sift in the flour and the salt and fold until combined
4. Add the chocolate chips and stir
5. Roll into walnut size balls and place on a prepared baking tray
6. Bake for 10 minutes and leave to cool on a wire rack

Let me know if you give this recipe a go, with or without the eggs!

Degustabox - November...

Firstly, I was so happy to receive my Degustabox earlier than normal this month! It was nice little surprise to see this at the door one morning, it is normally around the 27th/28th it arrives but it was actually the 25th so a nice few days early! Degustabox is something I look forward to every single month so I was very happy. Aswell as the early delivery, again I was so impressed with the contents of this box. They really do just get better and better.

As I was so desperate to open the box I didn't get chance to take any pictures and a few of the products have now been opened so these pictures are from the Degustabox site.
The Pip Organic Juice was one of the first things we tried when we opened the box, we received two and we actually still have one left. The problem with not having our own place at the minute is that stuff really is just everywhere and gets forgotten about so I can't wait to move in, have loads of cupboards and actually get everything out the boxes and see what we have! I think the second one of these will have gone before then though, we got the Cloudy Apple flavour. How happy were we to see that they had included 5 Lindt Melting Moments!! This is Georges favourite chocolate so I was definitely more pleased for him than me, I do like it but it wouldn't be my first choice. These did go extremely quickly, they really do just melt in the mouth. I love the christmassy packaging too. Kents Kitchen Flavour Shots were included this month, I love getting things like this which are just so simple to use, we got the BBQ flavour and it will be perfect to add to chicken and make something a bit different! You can get them in 4 other flavours, hot and spicy, fajita, thai green and garlic and coriander. Last month Kents Kitchen meal kits were included and I got the Stir Fry kit which I have still yet to use! Always handy to have though. Cool Dawn Recovery Drinks aren't something I have seen before but they do look interesting. This is a herbal detox drink that help prevent and cure hangovers. I hardly ever drink so I can't see me needing these any time soon but again they are handy to have in and i'm sure a lot of people would find these useful.
The Montano Cider is probably something I will be opening this weekend, I really wasn't sure what it was at first, it only says on the back that it is a cider but it does look nice. It is a really big bottle too. I am so excited to try the Holy Cow Currys! There is only one picture on the Degstabox site so not both of the ones I received are featured, I got the Madras Chettinad and the Korma, both look so good and will be great for an easy but tasty tea one night! The last thing was a Branston Caramelised Onion Chutney. This was definitely not something we were going to eat so we have passed it over onto somebody who will.

With this months box there was definitely less products than previous boxes, or so it seems but it does seem like more expensive products were added so really you it doesn't matter, you still get your moneys worth every month. Degustabox never disappoints me, the only thing I could fault with this months was that there was no baking products included as there seems to have been something every month for a while now but I do already have loads of baking ingredients so maybe its a good thing!

#NextmasWishlist Competition...

My last post was a homeware wishlist featuring Next on my blog, but I saw minutes after posting that they are doing a competition for the Christmas period. Sorry you are getting two similar posts straight after each other but I had to get involved as the winners will receive something at random that they have included in the blog post, there are so many things I want so it would be lovely to be one of them. If you want to enter, the details are over on the Next Blogger Network.

The things I choose are all going to be homeware, with us moving I am looking for so many new things and Next seem to have loads! I'm sure you will see straight away that a lot of these things are either bronze, wooden or in that sort of style, it's the colours I am trying to go for this time!
I really want to get some new bedding when we move, there's nothing wrong with what we have at the moment, I just feel like we've had the others for a while and I think this Natural and Ginger Bed Set is so perfect. It looks so cosy! Perfect for winter. The Home Plaque is something I mentioned in my last Next post but it is exactly what I want! I already have a place where I could put it! Though I did see the Hammered Disc Plaque and thought that would look just as good, it is so different to anything we have had before too, I love it. Again I have a place ready for the Relax Tealight Block, how good would this be for the bathroom? I have missed baths so much and our new place actually has one! I no longer just have to have showers so I can't wait for relaxing baths at night with candles on. Staying with the colour theme, I really like this Glisten Rug for the living room
I need a new vase for the living room and this is something different to what I have had before, I love the Champagne Crackle effect and a huge bouquet of flowers would look great in this. The Domed Wall Clock is £25 and I think this a great price for a clock which looks like it costs so much more. I definitely want a new clock for the kitchen wall and this is the one! The Heart Knife Block is something we need. I would like a proper knife set and I think this is so cute. Probably a bit girly but it doesn't matter.
The last things I saw would both be for the living room, the Distressed Wood Collage Frame and the Lit Bell Heart Wreath. I love the heart wreath! It was in the Christmas section but I would keep it up all year round.

I would be so happy to win any of these things! I love them all and it was very hard to keep it to 10 items!

Next Homeware Wishlist...

With us hopefully moving into our new place in a few weeks I have obviously been looking for some new homeware items. We do already have loads of stuff but as it is all out of sight at the minute and packed away, its hard to know what we do and don't have so I think a lot of the stuff I want will have to wait until we already in and settled. As this place will be more of a home than our last place (this has more than 1 room so instantly better) and is somewhere we want to stay for a few years, I really want to make it feel like ours and add things that just make it feel nice and cosy. This is so important to me in the winter months, and its Christmas!!! I doubt we'll be able to have a big Christmas tree this year, we'll make do with our tiny one, but because of that there are other things I would like to get for that real Christmas feel. I have seen loads on Next recently, some of these are for the Christmas period and others are things I would like all year round.
I have been wanting something like these Red Berry Twigs for ages to go in the corner of the living room, I think they would go well in this Silver Crackle Vase. The Glitter House is also something I have been wanting for a while, I love that you just switch on the little lights in the house and it just instantly looks so pretty, perfect to light on cold dark nights! I would have this on at the same time as this Fragranced 3 wick candle. This will be good even when the candle has burnt down as it is one that can hold other tealights and come out every winter, I love the colour and design of it. I would put the Cosy Bunting in the bedroom just above the bed, I can imagine it now and think it would look so great.
Something that I would put on a shelf in the living room is the Red Xmas Tree, even though it is just a simple sign I think it stands out and you wouldn't need much else next to it, maybe just a candle or some pretty fairy lights. I would put the Luxury Fragranced Pot Pourri in a clear dish on the coffee table in the living room. I am already set on a having a nice dish full of pot pourri on the coffee table, it just fills the room with such a lovely scent and I think it looks nice too. I love the colours of this one. The Snowman Wreath would go on one of the main walls in the living room, again something to light the room up at night, I haven't seen anything like this before, I love how different it is to things I would normally get. The Home Plaques are perfect for me. This is something I would be drawn to in the shop, I don't know why, I just love having things up that really make the place feel like our own and again this would be in the living room. It is also the sort of colours we are going for. I really want to get some new photo frames for when we move to put all of our pictures in and the Rustic Collage Frame is great! This is so different to what we have now and I love that it has that christmassy touch to it but it is also one that can be kept us all year.
The Sentiment Plaque would go great with the rustic collage frame I have just mentioned. Again the colours are brilliant for this time of year, I also love the message on it. The Present Box is probably more for people who have kids but I just love it and want it for myself! How cute would it be to put all of our presents in their and just pull them out one by one. The last things I saw were these Red Heart Flutes. These would be really good for a class of wine or whatever you fancy, I like the heart design and I also really like the Red Berry Table Tree. I am not sure where this would go, maybe in the bedroom somewhere or the hallway but I think it is a little different to a normal Christmas tree and something that could come out every year.

Bingo - A game that helps you unwind and combat boredom...

In the bustling cities, life becomes stressful. Sometimes all you want to do is crash into your sofa and relax, but at the same time feel the need to socialize and a companion to talk to. Don't know about you folks but that's how I feel at times. So I found a great outlet to relax and socialize whilst having fun at the same time. Sometimes a cheeky natter and a hearty laughter make up for the built up stress inside us and forget about the everyday niggles. Trust me, you don't always need to fly around the world to find an escape. You can do the same thing at the comfort of your home, Wondering what I'm talking about? I'm alluding to online bingo.

Have you checked out any fun online bingo sites? If not yet, probability is you are yet to experience the delights of the game. Unlike the brick and mortar bingo halls, you can play online bingo around the clock whenever you fancy. Best thing about the game is, anyone can master the game within a matter of few seconds. It's not a game of skill, but purely of luck. Register at a good online site, select the game you want to play and you're on your merry way! In fact, online bingo is so easy that you just need to select your bingo cards and the software daubs the numbers automatically for you whilst you chat wit your bingo buddies. That's the best thing about bingo. You enjoy the banter in the room, make new friends and and if Lady Luck is generous, even win a few quid.

When I say win, you don't get clamour and pats on back, but also win without spending a quid. Yes. That's right. There are sites like New Look Bingo* that pays you just to join the site. Also there are free games to get involved in. Hallelujah! Could it be any better? Entertainment and a chance to win a few quid or perhaps even a massive jackpot!

So stop feeling miserable about your life. Get down to a bingo site and meet some people out there. After all there should be an outlet to ease you off the stressful life. Nobody knows how fun playing bingo online can be unless you give it a shot yourself! Try playing at a fun bingo site, and I promise you won't regret a bit!

Small Haul - Lush, Superdrug and Selfridges

I wanted to share with you a few things I bought while we were in Manchester at the weekend. There are a few other things but they are peoples presents so I don't want to include them just in case anyone sees! This weekend wasn't really about buying things though, since George has started work it feels like we hardly get any time together and when we do it goes so fast! We just wanted to spend some proper time together enjoying ourselves, feeling festive and it turned out to be the best weekend ever, I really don't think anything will be able to top it for a long time, I feel emotional when I think that it is almost week since we were there and got engaged! It sounds stupid but its unreal at how fast it went. I wish I could just relive it.
Lush, Selfridges, Barry M, Primark
On to what I bought, I finally finished my bottle of Nails Inc black nail polish so I was desperate for some more. I know black isn't the most exciting colour but its one that I think always looks good and I do have it on either my fingers or toes every few weeks. I have a few Barry M nail polishes and I have always liked them and as they were on 3 for 2 I thought I would pick up a few of theirs. Aswell as the black, which is actually called 'Espresso', I also got 'Mustard' and 'Coconut'. I have the mustard shade on my nails right now and I love it! It is perfect for winter and I really wanted to try the Coconut shade as I had seen so many people with it on recently and it looks great.

The Lindt Bear set was from Selfridges and we also got something else from Lindt which was quite similar, they are both presents for people even though George absolutely loves Lindt! I think its so cute and it was about £5 which I think isn't too bad. Also in Selfridges, I got a personalised Nutella Jar! I had seen on somebody's YouTube video a while ago that Selfridges did this but I wasn't sure if they would in the Manchester one, just because that would be typical when I wanted one! But they did! It was cheaper than I expected too, it was £3.99 which I thought was good as I was expecting them to be well over a fiver. We also got a few others made too again for presents, who doesn't love Nutella?

Obviously I had to go into Lush, it is one of my favourite shops anyway but around Christmas time it only gets better! I love the Christmas range, there were so many things to choose from, it was so difficult! I did get a bit stressed out as it was so busy and I don't do very well in crowded places but I still managed to pick up a few bits. I bought the Butterbear which just looks adorable, I don't want to use it because its so cute! I also got the Christmas Hedgehog which again is so cute. I had my eye on both of these as soon as the Christmas products were out so I was very glad to pick those up. Aswell as these two I also got the Blackberry Bath Bomb. This wasn't a Christmas one but it smelt amazing! It wasn't one I had tried before but now it is one of my favourites. I used it in the bath in the hotel and it was the most relaxing bath and so colourful!

On the Sunday we went round the city on the way to the station and I popped into Primark as I was looking for some Christmas bedding. I didn't end up getting any but I did find a few things. Not exactly exciting but we have been needing a new laundry bin for our new place. I thought this was just really pretty and will do until we can get a really nice wooden one or something a bit better. I also picked up a few candles as the little jar ones from Primark are so nice and they are now only 80p! They actually had loads to choose from so it took me a while! I got the Blackcurrant and Orchid and the Sweet Pineapple and Ginger which is my absolute favourite!

I don't even know how I managed to make this such a long blog post when I didn't even buy much! I just had the best time and want to share it all on here, even if people aren't interested it will be good for me to have it all down and look back on one day!

Have you visited Manchester at Christmas?

Manchester Christmas Market and The Trafford Centre

I have so many pictures of our first weekend away to Manchester and I was desperate to share them with you just because it was really the best weekend ever. On Friday night we headed to Manchester for 2 nights, our first time away together and I was completely unaware that George was planning on proposing at this point. At the time I just was excited anyway for a proper weekend away, I literally had no idea what he was planning.

On the Saturday we started the weekend by a trip to The Trafford Centre and spent a little bit of money! I will do a separate post showing you the things I bought, I still haven't taken any pictures of it all yet but it was lovely to do a bit of shopping! The first place we went was Pancake Express. We went here last time we visited and it is just as good. We went for The Club which has chicken, bacon and cheese in and it was amazing. I definitely prefer savoury pancakes over sweet, I am not sure I could recreate this at home but it was so good that I would definitely give it a try. After this we went to Selfridge's and bought some personalised Nutella jars! I now have one with my name on it and we also bought a few as presents. Definitely something different and really not that expensive. We bought lots of nice food and nice presents for people aswell for Christmas and I just hope people love them as much as I do. I just can't wait to get everything out and have a proper look at what we got. I couldn't possibly name all the shops we went in, there was just too many.
The Trafford Centre, Premier Inn, Shopping
The Trafford Centre and the hotel, sorry my pictures aren't great!
After the Trafford Centre, we made our way back to the hotel to chill for a few hours. Just before we were about to leave for the Christmas market, this is where he proposed! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was saying yes in my head but it took a few seconds for the words to come out so I think he was a bit worried but like I was ever going to say no. It was just perfect, he said some very nice things and made me feel very special and I can honestly say I am the happiest girl in the world. I don't think I have ever smiled as much as this, I seem to just find myself thinking about it and smiling to myself! I don't think it has sunk in properly. I can't wait to get started on planning the wedding, even though it probably won't be for a few years, I am desperate to get myself a wedding planning diary of some sort and start putting ideas down.

Obviously nothing could have made the day any better, but the Christmas Market was pretty amazing. It was massive, there were so many stalls, German ones, Italian, French, just so many different types selling all sorts of things. As it was so busy we didn't get to buy much but it didn't even matter. We did get some pretty amazing chocolate cakes though. I just loved been there and it was definitely a place we'll go again in the future, to experience it on the opening weekend was amazing, it's definitely got me excited for Christmas!
Manchester Christmas Market
The Christmas Market.
On the Sunday we went shopping round the city centre and went to Caffe Nero for some food, it was actually the first time we had been there for some reason but it was so nice. We ended up back home about 4ish, definitely straight back to reality but there is no other word to describe this weekend other than amazing! We will definitely be going back in the future and now we have even more reason as we got engaged there! I am now officially a fiancĂ©e! So exciting.
Caffe Nero.
I just thought I'd mention we were staying at the Premier Inn Portland Street and even though some people may look down on premier inns and think they aren't necessarily fancy hotels, you need to go to this one! It had just been renovated so we were in a new room which had just been done up, it was not what I was expecting. We had a huge bed, a flat screen TV on the wall opposite us, that was also huge, a sofa and a lovely bathroom with an amazing bath, I used one of my lush bath bombs too and it was so good. There was plenty of space in the bathroom for toiletries, a wardrobe, a fancy hair-dryer and mirror. I know this might sound boring that I am describing the hotel room but it was just so much better than we expected. I thoroughly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Manchester in the future.

Overall it was just the BEST weekend and I still can't believe what happened.

I'm Engaged!!!

I don't even know how to start this blog post in any other way, but I am engaged! I can't put into words how happy I am, it has honestly been the best weekend.
I will do a separate post about the Christmas market in Manchester and the Trafford Centre showing what we bought over the next few days. I just couldn't wait to do a post to tell you all! It was very romantic and everything that I had hoped and more. We are both so happy, I don't even feel like it's real yet! I just can't stop looking at my hand, the ring is beautiful.

You Beauty Discovery Box - October and November...

I completely forgot last month to post my You Beauty Discovery Box so thought it would be a good idea to add it to the November box post. I originally got this box for free in September due a discount code and as I liked it so much I decided to keep the subscription going! I think the price of £6.95 is really good compared to other beauty boxes which are normally over £10. The value of the contents in the box is always way above this too which makes it even better. If you didn't know the You Beauty Discovery Box involves you picking two products from a list and you are guaranteed to get those along with a few other little treats too when your box arrives. I love the element of surprise but also knowing that you're getting some products you really want and have chosen yourself!

With this box I think I made a wrong choice with Gold Collagen. This was me typically not reading properly and realising that it was some sort of anti ageing product and is for women aged 40+, so something I shouldn't be needing for quite a while yet. I am not sure what I am going to do with this yet, I obviously won't be using it and unfortunately will probably go in the bin or in a draw and forgotten about for a long time. It does sound like a good product though for the specific age range, it claims to support healthy looking skin, hair and nails, support skin hydration and elasticity, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and give protection against oxidative damage. The second choice was a much better one but I haven't got round to using it just yet. With us moving and things being a bit all over the place at the minute I just don't know where things are or where to store them! I went for the MeMeMe Cherubs Blush Cheek and Lip Tint. This is something that is supposed to last all day without reapplying which sounds great if it is true. This is one of MeMeMe's best selling products so you can only assume from that, it will be good! The tips for this products are, to smile and place a little on the apple of your cheeks and then blend in an upward motion. You are supposed to start with a little and then build it up until you get your desired colour. I am always very careful that I don't put too much on with any make-up product I use, I would rather put a little on than too much and then be stuck! I will have to be careful with this though as it is just my luck that I will put way too much on no matter how simple the instructions are. Other products I received in the October box include Cowshed Perfecting Night Cream and Spiezia Organics Facial Cleanser.
This month I chose Roques O'Neil Therapie Himalayan Bath Salts. I am so excited to try these, baths are one of my favourite things in the world. Seriously I missed them so much while we lived in Leicester. These bath salts are supposed to calm stress based palpitations, balance energy flow and help combat insomnia. 'Immersing yourself in these salts, envelopes you with a sense of well-being and helps fortify the spirit so you're ready to take on the world again'. I think I now have my insomnia under control but anything that can help is seriously appreciated, and as I have anxiety anything that can help me calm down and relax is perfect so these are going to be great for when I am having a bad day or feeling overly stressed or anxious. I also chose Skin&Tonic Steam Clean. My skin seems to have been going mental over the last week or so, I am not sure what is going on but generally my body has felt strange and I think my hormones are a bit all over the place at the minute. I've heard this can be due to stress and anxiety can make your body do all sorts, mine has experienced so many weird symptoms because of it! I thought that this might help refresh my skin and hopefully clear it up a little bit. This cleansing balm uses 6 therapeutic and organic ingredients which help rejuvenate skin, it has oils which are rich in omega 3 & 6 and Eucalyptus and Spearmint oils. This sounds quite simple, all you do is massage some onto your face/neck and then soak a cotton face cloth in warm water and hold against your skin for 1 minute to steam and soak up all the oils. You then just wash it off and it is also a way of taking off your make-up. I think I will probably use it when I have already removed it all though and really cleanse my face! In this box I also received Aduna Baobab Superfruit Powder and Merumaya Iconic Youth Serum.
Have you tried the You Beauty subscription?

The Body Shop - Offers and Discounts...

I am such a huge fan of The Body Shop, I could shop there every week and still find something I need to buy. I am always browsing their site and adding things to the basket but never actually ordering them! Last night I decided to go for it as they currently have a great offer on, buy 2 gifts get 2 free, this saves you quite a bit of money and great as it is coming up to Christmas. As I am signed up to The Body Shop and have a member card I also received 10% off and got free delivery! It is so easy to sign up for one of these cards, I definitely recommend you do next time your in store or online, it only costs £5 and you get some great benefits all year long, including a free gift every year on your birthday and I think I got a free gift for signing up too. It is well worth the money.

With the buy two, get two free deal you choose 4 products as normal and then apply the discount code at the end, if you have a membership card your 10% discount is applied automatically too. The first thing I decided on was the Glazed Apple Treat Box, this includes Shower Gel, Body Butter and a Crinkle Bath Lily. The price is £7, same as the Frosted Cranberry Treat Box which was something else I chose. The next thing I saw which I thought was a really safe option was the Jingle Gels Sleigh. This has a Satsuma Shower Gel, Mango Shower Gel, Strawberry Shower Gel and a Moringa Shower Gel. I love all of these! I could quite happily keep this for myself but I think this will be one I give to someone else, hopefully they will like at least a few of the scents included! The last thing I wanted to get was the Wild Argan Oil Beauty Bag. I have been wanting something from the Argan Oil Range for a while now so I think this set might have to be the one I keep for myself, it includes Shower Gel, Body Butter, Body Scrub and a mini Crinkle Bath Lily. I think this is a great deal in itself that it is only £12 for the Argan Range but I was more than happy to pay it knowing I would be getting some of the other things free!
Overall the total cost was £18 which is amazing considering it would have been over £35 without any discount and including full price postage. I love that The Body Shop always have some sort of discount available, even if that is just the 10% you get from the membership card, there prices are not too expensive anyway! I am pretty sure that I will be giving one of the treat boxes to somebody and the set of shower gels, I did have people in mind when I chose these so hopefully they will like them! I am starting to put a list together to work out who we need to buy for this year and what we're getting them so at least now I have something covered!

Weekly Favourite #8

This is a little different but my weekly favourite could be anything I suppose! I have been loving a programme on the new ITVBe channel called 7 Days With.
This programme follows celebrity couples for a week and show you all the normal everyday things they all do aswell as the showbiz side too. The first episode featured Formula 1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone and her husband Jay Rutland. I really love these two. So many people have something bad to say about her, either they think she doesn't work for her money or she is spoilt, aswell as other things too which I think is really unfair. This programme showed she does work hard, as does her husband, they are completely normal and down to earth and seem like great parents to their 7 month old daughter Sophia. I already liked her but this programme only showed what a nice person she is! I really wish they would do a full series with just these two.

The second episode featured Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton and her partner, FIVE member Ritchie Neville. At the time this was filmed she was still pregnant with their now baby girl Ella. In the last year they have both been part of The Big Reunion which saw both their bands aswell as many others reunite and tour for the first time in years. This was when they properly got together even though they had known each from their early days as popstars. I think these two look perfect together, the TV programme showed he has been brought into an already made family as she has 3 other children and has just took it on and has a great relationship with them all. They just seem like they have a really good relationship and again it showed how normal they are! The third episode featured Brian McFadden and his wife Vogue but I am only about half way through that one on catch up, there are still a few other episodes to go too so I would definitely recommend you tune in and have watch. It is on every monday ITVBe at 10.

H&M, Primark & Superdrug Haul...

On Saturday me and George went to Meadowhall for a meal and a little bit of shopping which was really nice. It feels good to actually be able to buy things now! As we are going to Manchester in a few weeks, we didn't get too much but I wanted to show you what we did buy!

I really wanted to get some pumps for Manchester as at the moment all I really have is sandals! A lot of our stuff is buried in bags and boxes in the spare room, it is impossible to find things, so I have just been wearing what I travelled back in. I did manage to find my pair of fake ugg boots but I don't want to wear them all the time, especially as the weather is so hit and miss at the minute. The boots aren't practical for when it is warm and the sandals aren't practical for cold weather. I needed something appropriate for both. I bought these cute red pumps from Primark for just £4. They felt so comfortable when I tried them on so I am hoping that they will be when we are walking all weekend! I think this colour is perfect for Autumn/Winter and it goes with most things I would wear. I also bought a scarf to match. I really don't have many scarves but I think they look so good with just a simple outfit of jeans and a t-shirt. I think this will be great for winter. This was £4 too. The last thing I got from Primark was this little Christmas candle. The scent is Winter Berry and it just smells so good! It was only 80p as well which is such a bargain. I wish they had more as it is such a great price. I bought the shoes and the scarf to go with a new jacket/cardigan I bought from H&M. I have really tried to take a good picture of it but it just isn't happening, I've looked online too and I can't find it anywhere. As soon as I do I will include it in this post. It is so soft and comfy, I really wanted something that was great for this time of year as at the minute it isn't cold enough for big coats! It was £30 which I really wouldn't normally want to spend but I know it will go so well with so many of my clothes and it is something that will literally last me ages, I could wear it during any time of the year.
I also went to Superdrug on Saturday and spent quite a bit more than I normally would!
The first thing I needed was some sort of primer/concealer for my skin. I suffer quite bad with redness, I don't know why, even when I am not having a particularly bad time with my skin spotswise, it just looks a bit red and sore. It feels fine but I really don't like how it looks, I do manage to cover it well with make-up and I wouldn't say it is that obvious without, to me it is something I worry about though. I really didn't know what sort of product I was looking for but then I spotted this MUA Pro-base Prime and Conceal Palette. This is new in and only £4 so I thought I would give this a try. I know there are more expensive high end products that help with redness but at the minute I don't think it is bad enough to spend so much money on. If this doesn't work and I am still a bit self conscious about it, I might purchase something that costs a little more in the future. Superdrug were doing 3 for 2 on cosmetics so I bought a few other things I had been wanting a while. I had been looking for an eye-shadow palette and had heard good things about this Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Romantic Smoked for £4 and I also spotted this Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in Touch of Mauve. It is the prettiest colour, it looks so good on. I also got some Tanya Burr Lashes - Bambi Eyes. I don't wear false lashes, in fact the last time was my prom and I really struggled with them then which was a few years ago, so I have kind of avoided them since! These just look so pretty and girly and from Tanyas video they are extremely easy to apply so I am going to give them a go at some point! The last things I bought were the V05 Plump it up Shampoo and Conditioner. They were both on offer for under £2 each which I thought was really good. I like to change it up a little bit with my shampoo and conditioner and haven't done for a while so thought I would give these a go. Over the last few days my hair has felt really thin, which is unusual as mine is normally so so thick and these two products are supposed to give your hair a bit of bounce and volume so hopefully they will work!

The House We Didn't Get

So we had a house, now we don't.

As I mentioned in my last update, we moved back to Sheffield and were going to look for a new place to live while we stayed with Georges dad. If you want to know why we moved back, i'll include a link in this post. We found the perfect house, honestly that is the only word I can find for it, we fell in love with it straight away, it was the place I saw us starting and bringing up a family and it was generally just perfect for us both, our first proper house as a couple, so much better than our old flat. We basically had it, but to put it short we have been messed around by the estate agents and now it isn't ours. Safe to say we're quite upset about it but we've just got to look forward and find somewhere new. We're both believers in that things happen for a reason and as perfect as the house was, there will be something better waiting for us.

A positive we can take from this is that we now have quite a bit of money left over.
We are going to get saving and hopefully still be in our own house in a few months, it could still be before Christmas if we drop lucky with something. We don't want to rush and get a 1 bed place or somewhere that we're not really taken with, we're definitely looking for at least a 2 bed house as we just need the space.

Also now we have money left over we are going to go away for a weekend! I am so so excited, to say we have been together for almost 3 and a half years and have never been away together, is a little bit ridiculous. We have just never had the money spare to do it and now we do. So George is taking me away to Manchester for the Christmas market. I love Christmas and I have only ever been to the Sheffield one which is quite small in comparison to the others. We are going on the 14th for 2 nights and I just can't wait. We're also going to the Trafford Centre too which has Selfridge's which I could just spend ages in. I can't even explain how excited I am to go away with George, it has taken us a few years to be able to do this but I am sure it will be worth it. It makes all the negative things with the house, not even matter, we are still only 19 and sometimes you just have to live a little, we have plenty of time left to find somewhere, I think we deserve a nice weekend away! Georges job is going great too which is another positive!
