Chocolate Chip Flapjack Recipe

I made flapjack for the first time ever a few days ago and we honestly loved it. I've always wanted to make it but I usually either don't have the ingredients or I don't have the time but this time I had both and I wanted to try something different.
Ingredients:
50g of chocolate, chopped up or you could use chocolate chips
175g oats
1 tbsp of golden syrup
125g of butter
125g of demerara sugar

Method:
1. Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan.
2. While it is melting together chop up the chocolate.
3. Add the oats to the mixture in the pan and make sure everything is stirred in properly, you can then add the chocolate.
4. Tip into a greased tin and bake in a 180 degrees pre-heated oven for 30 minutes.
5. When cooked, tip out onto a wire rack to cool then cut into squares.
Let me know if you try this recipe, it's so easy to make and just tastes delicious!

Lush Brightside Bubble Bar...

I never normally go for the Bubble Bars at Lush, I've always preferred the bath bombs, but the problem with bath bombs is that you only get one use out of them, whereas bubble bars, with some of them you can easily get 4 or 5 baths out of it.
I bought the Brightside Bubble Bar a few weeks ago as I was all out of Lush products and I always like to have something in, ready to use. They just make baths a bit more exciting. I was torn between this one and The Comforter. I love The Comforter but I wanted to try something new, I think I am going to go back and get it soon as I am almost out of Brightside now and its been so long since I last had it. I love the colour the water goes when I use this bubble bar, a really bright orange depending on how much you use, I normally just take a chunk off then run it undo the tap. It has lasted me ages so it's well worth the money at £4.75. As with all Lush products, this had such a lovely scent.

Have you tried Brightside? What's your favourite thing from Lush?

Rimmel Super Shine Nail Polish - Hot Tropicana...

I had to write a blog post on this nail polish as it has lasted so well and it isn't often I find nail polishes that actually go for more than a few days.

I picked this up as I needed a few new shades for summer, most of the nail polishes I own are darker tones and they're great for winter but when the weather gets hot I want to have the bright pinks and oranges on my nails. I don't actually have many Rimmel nail products, I tend to stick to Barry M but Rimmel are so reasonably priced and they had a huge selection.
I actually used the Barry M Bottom Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener as a base then I applied the Rimmel one then again the Barry M to top it off. It applies so well, I love the brush. It was so quick and easy and it wasn't streaky or messy. I did two coats but to be honest one would have been fine. I always use a top coat to get as long out of my nail polish as possible and I really think this helps it stay on for as long as it does. As I am writing this I have had the Rimmel nail polish on for over 5 days and I never normally get that long without any chips in them or without needing to redo them. I am so impressed. I will definitely be getting more Rimmel nail polishes in future.

You can buy the Rimmel 60 Second Super Shine Nail Polish from Superdrug.

Why Dogs Are The Best...

Words can't explain how much I miss my dog Bouncer, I haven't seen him in a year. I've mentioned a few times on my blog that I haven't had the best relationship with my parents, things are getting better but it has now been quite a while since I last saw them, obviously because of that I haven't seen Bouncer and I can't wait for when I do get to see him again. I already have in mind what toys I want to get him and I'm already planning to try and get him to stop over here whenever my mum and dad want to go away. It will be the best thing when I can go round and see him again and as we're allowed dogs in our flat, he can come here too! I can already imagine him running around the flat and getting cosy on the settees!
To me, dogs are the best pets you can have, I like cats, I've mentioned Charlie and Alfie's cat a few times, Shade and I love her so much but regarding what pet we decide to get, we know it will be a dog. I'm pretty set on a Golden Retriever but I also love Cavalier King Charles Spaniels which is what Bouncer is. I'm thinking for our first dog we should probably get a smaller one first like a spaniel. And as we want kids, maybe a smaller dog will be better around babies! I just can't wait for the time we have our own.

Dogs are the best because they always know when you are sad, they just sense it! That's when Bouncer would come into my room and jump on my bed or would come on sit on my knee. They love to steal your food but I don't mind. I want to bake dog friendly treats and everything, i'm going to be such a crazy dog owner. They're so much fun, you can take them to parks or the beach and they will just go mad and run around for ages. I used to love taking Bouncer to the seaside for the day because he'd just run around the beach, going up to other dogs but then get scared of the sea! I just love everything about them.

Do you have any pets? Are you a dog lover like me?

The Body Shop Shower Gel - Grapefruit...

I am a huge fan of The Body Shop and recently I bought their Grapefruit Shower Gel because I had ran out of my beloved Passion Fruit Shower Gel. I've always wanted to try this one but I had so many other products left to use up first!
This has ended up becoming a new favourite of mine so I am hoping they never get rid of this one! It's just so sweet and fresh, when I use this my skin feels really revived and I think it's a great one if you shower in a morning before work or school. It kind of wakes you up a little bit. I love the huge bottle too, it lasts me ages and I think for the price, they are so worth it.

I like that this shower gel has a citrus twist to it and isn't just a sickly sweet one. I don't think it's particularly girly either, it's one men could use aswell. It was £4 for this bottle and I'm definitely going to stock up on more soon!

I can't wait to get more from the Grapefruit Range. I want the body butter next!

Have you tried the Grapefruit Shower Gel?
