Date Day & Superdrug, Lush, The Body Shop & New Look Haul...

Yesterday me and George went to Meadowhall for some shopping and some food for Date Day, can't really call it date night when it was in the middle of the afternoon. I left with some really good things, most of which were at a really good price or on offer luckily! I got things from Lush, The Body Shop, New Look and Superdrug.

From Lush I got one thing, the Brightside Bubble Bar. I normally prefer Bath Bombs from Lush but I just wasn't as bothered this time for some reason, I have used quite a few over the last few months though. I love the Comforter Bubble Bar so I was torn but I went for the Brightside one instead, i'll get the comforter next time! After Lush we went to The Body Shop, I saw their green tea range at the entrance and I really wanted to have a look at it. It smells so good! I'll have to try it at some point, I also had a little look at the new Mojito range which I really want to get when it's out, that was amazing! I ran out of my Passion fruit shower gel which was my absolute favourite from the body shop so I needed a new one. I ended up getting the Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel which smells so good, I don't know why I have never got it before! So fresh and sweet. I also got the Strawberry Shower Gel as it was buy one get one half price. Another one I haven't tried before. My loyalty card ran out a while ago so George was very kind and got me a new one and with that I got a free gift which was a cooling and refreshing eye gel.
We then went to Superdrug just get some basics like body sprays, I got an impulse one as their my favourite ones. Though we only went in for a few things I ended up leaving with two nail polishes. I got the Rimmel Hot Tropicana and NYC Gel Gloss Haute Couture. I think both colours are great for summer.
Before we left Meadowhall I went to Dorothy Perkins quickly as I needed some new sandals and I managed to pick some up for only £9. They feel so comfy and look good with jeans or trousers.

Before we went shopping we went to Harvester, it's become our favourite over the last few months, the foods just so good. We started with Nachos which were gone before I could take a picture! Bad blogger. I had the Salsa Chicken and Pepper Stack with Jacket Potato and George got Pork and Chorizo Burger with Chips. I need to get that next time we go, it was amazing! Mine was good but seriously if you go to Harvester, try the pork burger. For dessert we had the Strawberries and Cream Pot which is vanilla cheesecake in a little glass pot, with cream and strawberry compote, also two shortbread fingers. I love cheesecake so this has become a new favourite!
It was such a lovely date day, the food was amazing and I love everything I bought.

The Best Ever Tiffin Recipe

Tiffin is one of my all time favourite bakes! If you've never tried it before, I always say it's basically Rocky Road without the marshmallows. I actually prefer it though. It's only got a few ingredients in and doesn't take much time so if you're looking for a quick, tasty treat, this is for you!
Tiffin Recipe
Ingredients:
110g of butter
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 tablespoons of golden syrup
4 teaspoons of cocoa powder
220g of biscuits, I use digestives
200g of chocolate, half milk, half dark

Method:
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, golden syrup and cocoa. While this is all melting together, you need to break the biscuits up in a bowl. I normally use a rolling pin, make sure you leave some in quite big chunks, if its all completely broken into crumbs it won't form properly in the tin
2. When everything in the saucepan has melted, add the biscuits in a bit at a time, make sure you keep stirring so everything combines
3. When everything is combined pour into a tin and pat down so it is all spread evenly across it
4. Now you need to melt the dark and milk chocolate. You could do this in a microwave but I normally put it into a glass bowl and put that on top of a pan of boiling water. When everything is starting to melt, I turn the heat off and keep stirring
5. When the chocolate has cooled a little, pour over the mixture in the tin and spread evenly
6. I then put it in the fridge for 1-2 hours
7. When chilled and the chocolate has set, you can cut into pieces and enjoy!

Let me know if you make this, it really is one of the most delicious treats!

Collection Lasting Gel Nail Polish...

I have been wearing the Collection Nail Polish Lasting Gel in Almost Nude for a while now and I had to do a blog post on it as I love it so much.
In short it is just the perfect nude. It looks good on the nails and it lasts a long time.

It goes on so well, the brush coats the nail in one go, it glides on evenly and it dries really quickly. I love the way it looks. It looks like you have had a gel manicure and I don't think you would need to apply a top coat unless you really wanted too, though I always do. I use the Barry M base coat, top coat and nail hardener.

Collection have a whole selection of colours in this gel range, I also have it in the shade Antique Rose which I would say is a pink nude and one which I will be wearing this summer! I can't wait to get more.

Do you like any of the Collection nail polishes?
