A New Staple Piece - Adexe Meek Petite Rosegold Watch Review*

I've never been someone that's all about jewellery. I've always had a few pieces like my infinity necklace, earrings when I was younger (though I genuinely can't remember the last time I wore some!), and of course my wedding and engagement rings but for a long time I've not had a real staple piece, something I really want to put on each day. That was until the lovely people at Adexe got in touch and asked if I'd like to try out one of their beautiful watches. How could I resist?

Adexe are a watch brand based in the heart of London that I'd heard so much about. I'd seen their watches on Instagram countless times and they were secretly a brand I was hoping to work with this year so I was thrilled to be given the chance to review a watch of my choice. There are so many to choose from as Adexe believe in self-expression, individuality and wearing pieces that reflect you so if you're in the market for a new watch, you'll have no trouble finding one that suits you and what you're about (both men and women). There are several collections and a range of colours available but after much deliberation I went for the Meek - Petite Rosegold.

Let's talk about the packaging first because for me it's always an important part with any product. The watch comes in a sleek red and pink box with ADEXE embossed in the middle. Instantly it looks luxurious. When you open up the box, on one side is the watch placed securely with a second pair of straps so you can change things up when you wish, and on the other side you'll find a few cards with a discount code, hashtags to use online and just general information about the brand. There is also a card which explains how to use the replaceable straps to pay contactless! More on that later.

Now onto the watch itself. The reason I've not worn a watch for such a long time is because I'm incredibly fussy. I don't like them to be too big or feel clunky on my wrist, yet I also want them to look pretty and match my outfits. Luckily I've found everything I was looking for with the Petite Rosegold. The rosegold trend is still very much alive so this instantly stood out to me over the usual gold and silver. With it's hand polished stainless steel strap, curved hardened crystal glass for the face and rosegold lines for the numbers, it's incredibly high quality yet has such a chic look. It's exactly what I've been after all this time. 

I adore the original mesh band but I also love the replaceable straps that also came with the watch. They're plain black so go incredibly well with the watch face and also compliment a lot of the clothes I wear! As I mentioned earlier, the great thing about these straps is that you can actually use them to pay contactless! Contactless is incredibly useful anyway with just a touch of your bank card or your phone but to be able to just use your watch and not have to go to any effort at all to reach for your card or phone is amazing, making life just that little bit easier! It's incredibly easy to get set up, just go to the bPay app, insert the code that will be attached to the strap, top up the amount you'd like and you're pretty much ready to go. Though this is Barclays it works with any bank so no need to worry about that. An incredibly useful idea and perfect for when you're on the go.

I'm so impressed with the Meek Petite Watch. Not only is it absolutely stunning but it's extremely high quality, comes in a beautiful presentation box and even has the added bonus of contactless straps. Though it may not be the cheapest piece of jewellery, it's worth the price tag and you do get a lot for your money. I think any watch from Adexe would make a wonderful gift either to yourself (#treatyourself) or for maybe a family member or friend for an upcoming birthday, maybe even as a graduation present?
