It's time for my first monthly favourites of 2018! Does anyone else feel that January dragged? It seemed to take forever to get to February!
Essie Licorice & Fishnet Stocking Nail Polish - Essie are one of my go to nail polish brands, because even though they can be a little pricey, the quality is second to none. After picking up their advent calendar for just £10 in the Christmas sales, I'm now fully stocked up for the forseeable and I'm trying to get round to using them all! The first polish I reached for was the shade Licorice which is a jet black. I love black nail polish and I'd just ran out so this was the perfect one to open. It just glides on and looks so glossy, it's gorgeous! The second colour I decided to try was Fishnet Stocking which is a deep red shade. I didn't have a colour like this before, so this is a welcome addition to my nail polish bag. It didn't last quite as long without chipping as the Licorice polish did, but it still looked beautiful on and I'll definitely be reaching for it again.
Marks and Spencers Peach Hand Wash - Hand wash might seem like a pretty boring thing to include in a favourites but there are just so many different varieties out now, so I'm always buying them! I had a few Marks and Spencers vouchers to use after Christmas so I was picking up a few birthday presents for George and home bits and then I spotted this hand wash in the scent Peach and Almond. I am a sucker for anything peach scented so I had to get this. It was £2.50 and it's huge so it's lasting us a while. I have my eyes on a lemon and lime one next, I think that would be so refreshing.
Marks and Spencers Sweet Apple Reed Diffuser - Another thing I picked up when I placed my order was a reed diffuser in the scent Sweet Apple. I adore this scent, in fact I had a massive candle of it which I finally finished last month (review here) so when I saw this, I knew I had to get it. I love having reed diffusers in the bathroom and I think this one looks so nice next to the few little ornaments and candles we also have on the windowsil. The scent has a combination of juicy green apples, pear blossom and peach so it's a perfect one for me. So sweet and fresh, and fills the whole bathroom. It was £6 which I wouldn't usually spend on a reed diffuser, I tend to stick with the £1 ones from Primark but as I had a voucher, it didn't really feel like I was spending that on it.
Bomb Cosmetics Bear Necessities Bath Blaster - As I mentioned in my birthday post, George got me a few bath bombs from Bomb Cosmetics as a little present. I got the Candy Cane Lane bath blaster which was so refreshing and I got the Bear Necessities one. Anything with bears makes me happy and I'd had my eyes on this one for a while so this was lovely to unwrap. I got round to using this a few weeks ago and it had such a gorgeous scent! It contains rose and geranium essential oils scented with marshmallow so as I'm sure you can imagine, it was very sweet and completely filled the bathroom! It didn't make a massive impact in the water like the pink elephants and lemonade blaster I've used before but I really don't mind. It had such a nice scent and left my skin feeling soft so it's still a winner and one I'd get again.
Marks and Spencers Brownies - Brownies are something I could pretty much eat whenever. Whether they're homemade or shop bought, I like any, and will never turn them down. Over the last few weeks I've been loving the Marks and Spencers ones. These are about £2.50 I think so not cheap but so worth it. I love how cakey their brownies are as I don't like particuarly fudgey ones. I just can't get enough of them.
Card Factory Snowglobe - How cute is this snowglobe?! We picked it up from Card Factory a few weeks ago for only £2.99 and I love it so much. It's from their wedding section and it says True Love around the bottom of it, and it looks so nice in our living room. When I saw it online I thought it would be tiny but it's a really decent size, and I'm so glad I managed to get it.
Ru Paul's Drag Race - Only one TV show to mention this month, that makes a change from past monthly favourites. In January I finally started watching RuPaul's Drag Race and now I am obsessed! After starting Celebrity Big Brother and seeing that everyone was going on about Courtney Act who has gone in, I thought I've just got to watch RuPaul now and see what all the fuss is about. As Netflix for some reason only has series 2-9 I had to start from Series 2 but I don't really think it makes much difference. I just love all the drama and glamour of it and can just sit and watch episode after episode!
