Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, I can't get enough of it! I don't think I go a day without it so I was very happy to receive a few bits from Harpak Home and Beech's Fine Chocolate recently. I've reviewed a few different pieces from Beech's before, the latest being a selection of their chocolate bars which I used to make some blondies for the first time, and I am such a big fan of them.
Just to give you a bit of information about the brands I'm mentioning in this blog, Harpak Home Shopping is a family run home shopping catalogue which offers customers a selection of quality new products from cosmetics to homeware and of course food! You can find a variety of great British manufactured brands on their website including Beech's Fine Chocolates, a brand which have been going since the 1920s! All of their products are made using only natural ingredients and all are gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and most dark products are suitable for vegans too! There is such a variety of chocolately products to choose from including Bars, Mints and Creams but today I'm going to be talking about their new truffles! I was sent four flavours to try and I have thoroughly enjoyed testing them all!
Anglesey Sea Salted Caramel - First of all how beautiful is the packaging of all of these! I love how stylish the boxes are and the designs are just stunning with gold embossing and a union jack inside. In each box you get a good amount of truffles which are encased in gold tissue paper, adding to the chic and fancy feel of them. The first I tried along with the help of my partner George, was the Anglesey Sea Salted Caramel flavour. These smooth chocolate truffles contained a sweet caramel and were dusted with cocoa powder. The combination of flavours was genius and definitely not too overpowering, which sometimes happens with caramel flavoured choccies. As these sorts of truffles aren't something we ever pick up, each bite felt like such a treat! We actually opened this box on Valentines and I think they were perfect for the occasion.
Marc de Champagne and Pink Marc de Champagne - The Marc de Champagne and Pink Marc de Champagne truffles looked and tasted so luxurious! I definitely didn't feel fancy enough for these but they were delicious. These hand made and hand finished truffles had such an indulgent feel to them and the strong scent, creamy filling and flavour of real champagne ensured just one or two was enough for that sweet hit we all need sometimes. I don't think I've ever had truffles like this before so they felt very special! I actually think the Pink Marc de Champagne would be perfect for Mothers Day which is coming up soon!

Prosecco - Not only do I love a glass (or a bottle) or prosecco, I also love anything flavoured with it so I was delighted to see this box of truffles amongst the others. This was definitely the one I was most excited about and it didn't let me down. These truffles are made with real prosecco which has been mixed into a hand made creamy chocolate centre, and then coated in smooth milk chocolate and icing sugar. What I loved that these truffles was that the prosecco flavour wasn't too strong and it went so well with the milk chocolate. If you know someone who loves to relax with a glass of prosecco at the weekend, then these are the perfect accompaniment!
I'm a big fan of chocolate truffles anyway from the cheaper ones you find at the supermarket to the more high end ones like this. These boxes are each priced at £11.99 which I admit is more than I would usually spend on chocolate but for an extra special occassion they are definitely worth considering. The packaging is beautiful, the taste is incredible and each flavour stands out for different reasons, I'm not sure I could pick a favourite! If you want to try some of these out for yourself (which I highly recommend you do) you can buy online via Harpak Home! They are brilliant for date nights, birthdays, Valentines or just a cosy night in, in front of the TV!
Have you tried anything from Beech's Fine Chocolate before?
