The Chocolate You Need To Try - National Chocolate Week 2017*

Today marks the start of National Chocolate Week 2017 and this year I've decided I'm going to do a food related post each day, so if you're someone who likes reading my recipes and things like that hopefully you'll like this weeks! I wanted to start with a post all about my favourite chocolate at the moment, because I don't think a day goes by where I don't have some, it's just the best isn't it? and there was so much I wanted to mention.

Prestat Sea Salt Caramel Truffles*

I'm going to start with these Sea Salt Caramel Truffles from Prestat because they have been such a special little treat. I'm all about chocolate truffles, but make them dark chocolate and add salted caramel, heaven. These truffles contain sweet caramel with a sharp hint of crystal sea salt and they are encased in a 70% cocoa chocolate shell which is dusted with fine cocoa powder. They are so indulgent and just feel like such a treat with every bite. Very moreish and just the perfect little box of chocolates. Currently £13.95 which is pricey but I don't know anyone who wouldn't like these, they would make a lovely christmas or birthday gift if want to treat someone to something a bit more luxurious.

Toffifee

Now kind of the other end of the scale, I pick these up from either Asda or B&M for £1 and I just can't get enough of them. I remember first trying these in school years ago and loving them, then a few years ago I tried them again and now I pick boxes of these up quite frequently! As it says on the box, these are hazelnuts in caramel with creamy nougat and chocolate. The combination of the caramel, hazelnut and chocolate is just amazing and it all just sorts of melts in your mouth. I've recently seen a stocking size tube of these so I'm adding that to my Christmas list!

Mr Stanleys White Chocolate & Popping Candy Matches*

As much as I love milk and dark chocolate, and would usually go for those given the choice, I've actually been loving these White Chocolate and Popping Candy Matches from Mr Stanleys. First of all I love the packaging as they do actually look like a proper box of matches and would make such a unique gift. You get two layers of matches and each stick is white chocolate finished with a pink chocolate tip, with hints of popping candy throughout. I would never think to combine popping candy with white chocolate but together this was so nice, there was the creaminess from the white chocolate but then the crackle from the popping candy and it was just amazing. These are currently £6.99 available here.

Mr Stanleys Sea Salted Milk Chocolate Bars*

Something else I've been trying out from Mr Stanleys is these Sea Salted Milk Chocolate Bars. I was so excited when these arrived as I've actually seen them before in a shop in London and always been tempted by them! There is a little shop on the Southbank in London that sells a few different Mr Stanleys bits and I always stand there looking at them, so this was really lovely to receive and definitely made me think back to our last trip there. These are £6.99 and you get two really decent sized bars of chocolate. The shape is almost a bit like toblerone and you can just snap a bit off at a time. They've got a really creamy milk chocolate taste but with each bite you get a little crunch from the sea salt too and just like with the popping candy above, the combination is delicious. It took me a bit longer to get through these just because they are so chunky but that's definitely not a bad thing, I loved having some of this while watching a film at the weekend. Available to buy here.

Kellys Chocolate Brownie Salted Caramel Ice Cream*

So not strictly chocolate but definitely worth a mention in this post, Chocolate Brownie Salted Caramel Ice Cream! I just love ice cream. I'm always looking for a tub of Ben and Jerrys but when it isn't on offer, it is seriously expensive! Luckily Kellys isn't quite as much and you get so much more for the price! They do a variety of flavours, all look delicious too but this is one I'd had my eye on for a while. It's got just about all of my favourite things - Chocolate Ice Cream, Brownie Chunks and Caramel Sauce. Together they are incredible and the ice cream is really nice and soft. We got through a few tubs of this recently after picking it up in Iceland and I already want to go back and buy more! You can find more flavours on the Kellys website here!

Milkybar with Smarties

I first spotted this in Morrisons a few month ago and I've since picked it up a few times because it is just so tasty. Milkybar is amazing anyway but add in tiny smarties for that added crunch, even better. I actually much prefer this now to normal milkybar and want it all the time! I think next time I make some cookies I might add some of this in, I think that would taste incredible!
So I basically just love chocolate. I'm always looking for new things to try and of course I have my old favourites. I really recommend trying a few of these out if you haven't before, I could eat them all over again right now!

What's your go to chocolate brand?

*Some products were sent for the purpose of this post, these are clearly stated with a '*'. As always I only feature brands I feel are relevant to me and my blog
