October Favourites - Candles, AHS & Halloween

Only 2 more monthly favourites left after this one before we end 2017 and I really don't know how it's gone so quick! I feel like I have so much to do over the next few months and just not enough time! Does anyone else think the weeks are just flying by at the moment?
Imperial Leather Marshmallow Hand Wash - This might seem like a bit of a random thing to include but I love everything I've bought from Imperial Leather in the past and their hand washes are no exception! I love the Marshmallow Shower Cream they do so when I saw they had brought out some handwashes too I grabbed one and I'm sure it was only about 90p from Asda. They do loads of lovely scents so really worth picking a few up!
Primark London Candle - I have been after one of these candles from Primark for months! I first saw ages ago on their Instagram page (I think) that they had brought out a few London themed candles, one like Big Ben and one like a red telephone box. Obviously as I love London so much I was desperate to get both but unfortunately no Primarks near me had them so I soon gave up. That was until I was in Meadowhall a few weeks ago and just by surprise they had some of the Big Bens one on a bottom shelf. Even though I don't really have any intention of burning it, I had to get one and now it's got a place in the living room and I just love it so much. It was £3 and worth it, I love having all sorts of different candles around the flat. I also picked a few other little bits up while I was there including these Christmas fairy lights which I thought would make a great prop for photos and also a Winter Spice Reed Diffuser as I love having these on the bathroom windowsill.
Manna Kadar 3-in-1 - This was something that actually arrived a good few weeks ago now from Birchbox and I've been really enjoying using it. It was one of the products in my September Box though it arrived damaged but they luckily replaced which I won't lie, I wasn't expecting them to for some reason! It's a 3-in-1 product so can be used as a highlighter, eyeshadow or blush which I think is fab, it's brilliant to have so many uses to just one product and would be great for travelling as it would take up such little space. I've mainly been using this as a highlighter and just adding a bit to the top of my cheekbones, and it gives such a lovely glow. I only use a little as it's very pigmented but just a small amount really stands out and now I look forward to using it every time I do my makeup!
Prestat Halloween Bauble* - I know halloween is over but I still really wanted to mention this bauble from Prestat which is filled with Truffles! I mentioned Prestat in one of my chocolate posts for National Chocolate Week and now I'm such a big fan of theirs. They do a range of delicious chocolates but the ones that stand out are their truffles and their halloween range is no exception to that. The bauble I was sent was filled with red velvet truffles which were amazing, so sweet and the chocolate as always was incredible. We got through them so quickly! Though halloween might be over you can still pick these up on their website and they are priced at £8.50. Some of the other baubles are filled with sea salt caramel, and pumpkin chai. Prestat are definitely worth considering for any chocolate gifts for a special occassion.
Next Prosecco Candle - Yep, another candle. I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment. I've mentioned a prosecco candle from Primark before on my blog which I really liked but that ran out a while ago and I've been looking for one just as good and affordable since. I spotted this on the Next website just a few weeks ago for £6 and I grabbed it straight away. First of all, the outer packaging is beautiful, just the box alone looked stunning, but the candle aswell is just wonderful. It has the scent of sparkling prosecco aswell as citrus, amber and spicy notes. It burns for up to 40 hours so should last a while and really does look great in the living room. It's still available online here.
American Horror Story Cult - Now onto the TV favourites from October and it was hard to wittle it down to just a few! There are some shows I could talk about for ages, the first one being the new series of American Horror Story. I am such a big fan of American Horror Story, well the seasons I've seen so far, those being the first 3 and now the most recent, Cult. I had every intention of carrying on in order but as each series is a completely different story with different characters it doesn't really matter, I was just hearing such good things about this! I downloaded all the episodes I missed a few weeks ago and got through them in 2 days, so I'm now fully up to date and I'm just hooked by it. I think it's probably my favourite season I've seen so far and I can't wait to see how it's going to end. I'm not even going to try and explain the cult and who is running it and part of it as I'd end up spoiling it for people who might not have watched it yet or aren't caught up, but it is so intense and just such a brilliant show!
Liar - A show that had to finally be included in a post! Liar was a 6 part series on ITV and it finished a few weeks ago, and I'm still so shocked by it all. There are going to be spoilers in this bit as I need to get my feelings out about it so stop reading now if you haven't watched it yet. It was about two people who go on a date, Laura and Andrew, everything seems to be going fine and then the next minute it's the next day, Laura wakes up in bed, with a very fuzzy recollection of the night before and is sure she was raped. The next few episodes then start telling both their stories of what they think happened that night, she is convinced he did it, he maintains everything was consensual, and I honestly believed him for such a long time. We find out in episode 3 that she was actually telling the truth and it's then all about how she tries to get him sent down for what he did and what he then goes onto do to other people, and it's just shocking. The writing though was brilliant, like so many others I was on his side for the first few episodes, they had made him out to be such a charming man who couldn't have possibly done what he did, and then they turned it all around. It was brilliant and I can't wait for series 2 now it's been confirmed!

Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father - The last show I had to include was this one that we started on Netflix last month and got through within a few days. I'm quite a big fan of Jack Whitehall anyway, I find him so funny but his dad is just as hilarious I think. They've done shows together before but this one was just them two travelling together for 5 weeks and we got to see everything they got up to. They are funny alone but together even better and I'm really hoping they'll do another series. If you're looking for something to watch on Netflix, I really recommend this.

I love this favourites post, I think there are some great things included, all the shows are brilliant, and the candles I've bought, I'm so happy to have them! I can't stop buying them at the moment, every shop I go in I'm looking at candles. I think it's because it's getting colder now I just always want to have some lit in each room and make everything cosy! What have you been loving throughout October? Have you been watching any of shows I've mentioned?
